Also..when battling does anyone else get angry when the challengers freeze you as you freeze them? It's like... "Stop .Freezing. Me. When. I'm. Freezing. You!"

It's annoying and it keeps happening with Som...though...when it happens I just imagine Haneul and whoever he's fighting just staring at each other. Kinda like the episode of Pokemon when Metapod and Metapod kept doing harden...(dunno if you ever saw the early episodes of Pokemon)

Some of you guys are the serious MVPs of AP Hell for real... A round of applause for the rulers of the AP underworld , and !!! 30+ pets with high intel... kudos :D

The only reason I have a "second" battle pet is because one day I was like, might as well shove all my other pets into the training center, what harm could it do?? Then.. they all got to be like T5 and I adopted two more T5 pets which got me up to nine T5 pets and suddenly I had like several decently strong pets so I was like MIGHT AS WELL KEEP GOING haha But ya not to discourage anyone from having a 2nd/3rd/30th, etc. I think you can definitely get away with neglecting AP for a while on those secondary pets and just like have fun with them. I also missed being challenged sometimes! Philo is still challenged sometimes since he's T12 but honestly it's not often. ;) It's cool going back and beating up some of the smaller guys ^_^

Just my opinion, , I do often hoard EXP too but I like to spend it to tier up :D Because the cost of all your stats is gonna increase every time your tier goes up, so you may as well get bigger faster! Stat prices are listed here btw, I feel like this is hard to find. I always try to keep a small hoard anyways, in case I'm trying to beat someone new and I can't & need the boost. I really don't think there's anything inherently wrong with keeping at least SOME exp saved, so you can use it when you need it. But ya, either way you're coming close to closing that door where you can beat the next levels on BQs and that's gonna get you looooots of extra EXP. :) Also, check out this thread, lots of good advice for beating some of those next levels of BQs at T8

Rahne is dumb as a box of bricks but she does her best (and it’s fairly in character for her to be dumb). Ty is keeping up ok with Rahne in intel.... and then my other pets are just so dumb. Poor things.

Oh no, I can't be included in any group with those two, they're on a whole other level! I'm working my way through the cheap books but the majority of my pets are far from high intel haha.

My main is my intel piggy. My second is slowly coming along. The rest of the army, get's books read to them from quests prizes.

Haha I think even if they are mid-intel you have earned some kind of ruling in AP hell, because 30 pets with any kind of book readin' is really impressive!!

I too feel the pain of the AP grind. All 30 of my guys have enough to use Aftershocks, I think the lowest has 19 AP. It hurt. And a lot of them are in high-intel-requirement jobs, which means more books, which means more suffering. :P

Right now I'm slowly nudging the last of the T3s up to T4. Key word, slowly.

If you aren't beating lv 30 of BQs, you are losing out on tons of stats.

You gain stats with exp faster than you can train (10-12 stats from BQs vs 3-6 stats training). If you only ever spend EXP on HP or STR it literally doesn't affect your training times for the other stats, since you will never catch your EXP boosted stats, you never lose anything.

But you do lose on stats if there are opponents you can't beat because you are hoarding EXP.

From an efficiency standpoint, there is no benefit to hoarding EXP.

If you hoard EXP because it's fun to see the number go up and use it all at once that's fine, but it is inefficient and definitely not the optimal way to train.

Uh, are all the "yous" here directed at me, or in general? Obviously I can do all 30 BQs, I have a T12 pet. Obviously, Jigglypuff can't do all 30. She has a T7 pet. Even if she spent all her EXP now, she couldn't do all 30. Kind of missing your point here, this seems petty and hyper-aggressive at best. //edit: You know, now I'm just being petty and hyper-aggressive. Sorry, I don't need to go there. My point is, there isn't ONLY one way to play this game.// I was talking to someone else about what I personally like to do (keeping a small amount of EXP on-hand in case I need it for a new opponent, right now my pet has no issues with BQs and I'm not actively trying to beat any opponent). My T7 pet could literally not beat a single additional opponent in BQs if I used every EXP I had right now. So if I keep saving it until I spend it all at once to the point where he COULD beat a new opponent, it's the same thing. Just because you like playing the game one way, even if it is the most efficient way, doesn't mean everyone has to play it in the exact same way.

General, not sure why you are taking so much offense to my post.

I never said that people have to play the way I play, In fact the last thing I said was the opposite of that.

But this statement is false:

You don't gain stats any faster, and if you miss a breakpoint on a BQ challenger while you are hoarding EXP, you do lose out on stats.

If you already can beat lv30 of BQs, then it doesn't matter, but you directed that statement at someone who can't beat lv30.
