regular ol' careaper time. don't wanna ping the thing. dunno if i even can! but just a reminder for those who can!

and for those who are new, careaper is a EH challenger in the normal tab, arrives on the 13th of each month! he's bumped up to impossible on friday the 13ths.

I suppose I should start taking on Careaper with Numair, I don't think I'll get too far but we'll see...

Five wins, with enough of a struggle that I'm not going to keep trying right now. Five is good for the moment. I think I'm going to focus on pushing Numair to t11 and boosting his AP up as my first goal of the year.

I get mad when I try and fight him now...he steals everything, and then I get stuck...and just get annoyed and Haneul and I storm off in a huff...

yeah, he's annoying when he does that, but at least it doesn't happen every time. Just have to keep trying until he decides to behave.

Numair's 319 points away from t11 (and thus better weapons, he can replace his constants with ME and Natasha when he gets there). Let's start with BQs, see if Quentin and the Mage co-operate with some amulets and tomes, and then I might start battle grinding - didn't realise he was so close, I feel a bit motivated.

Haneul is t12 now, so he should be able to get some more wins in (we have 8, mostly because I'm lazy), just right now I'm tired and it's almost bed time for me (in Australia), and I can't be bothered to deal with his BS at the moment...

I also need to work out Haneul's scrolls...

Spent a productive morning. Gone through Numair's stat sheet and finished 10 wins against everyone I tried and failed with a while ago, plus a bonus Ice King fight. Also nudged his AP up enough to add another freezing scroll to his default set. Next up, getting 10 wins on all the opponents that have been released since I last bothered doing this. After that, if he's not at t11 by then, I'll look at grinding for tomes etc.

Oh noes it's the 13th already?? Hmm... my only dark defense is the Ultra Star Rod which doesn't heal, what fun..

I have a shiny new Natasha for him though (belated celebrations yay!!), so I'll try for a few wins We're less than 1000 points from T12 :o

careapers freeze is entirely RNG, you just need to stick with it. he stole everything a few times but i scrapped some wins on him before i stopped. you gotta just persist and take the loss if he steals.

Gosh I'm lucky, that wasn't too bad at all 😆 3 losses, 1 tome (3 levels yay..), and 5 amulets (ANOTHER TOME!! :o)

A bunch more grinding later, Numair is 164 points away from t11. Not bad at all.

Anyone happen to know offhand who's quickest to farm tomes/amulets from? I know the guaranteed drops for all the opponents but which ones have decent odds for random drops? I'm probably done for today anyway but it'll save me some figuring out tomorrow if someone happens to have that noted down.

Prodigy probably has the best drop rates for tomes and such, out of all the opponents that are regularly available. Otherwise I also like Malerias Familiar, and Cursed Effigy The Tormented One.

hm, I think those are slightly out of my bab's reach, though he might be able to get a couple more wins on Effigy... maybe I'll have my capped boy smack Prod around a bit alongside my other grinding today. Thanks :)

There we go! And now he can use better toys. I got to less than 20 points to go after running through the easier tomes and thought I'd really have to struggle for the remnant (after spending most of my sP on healing), then remembered about battle tokens and bought a couple of Frozen Froth.

[edit] And with his new and improved battle set he got to level 28 of BQs. I'm so proud of him.
