Last year, it took me 81 losses on Rouland just to get to 7 wins. It was heartbreaking.

I'm not complaining about having 4 billion sP. As I was trying to explain, I get overwhelmed with all the recommendations. I'm just not ready to spend 400 million + at the moment.

What I didn't get with Natasha and either was, everything but the things they generated was stolen...and the things they had generated didn't do anything...which just lead to me forfeiting because I couldn't do anything else. Are the silver bullets Natasha makes meant to be used with it, or on their own? Is the partly frozen dinosaur thing Ether made meant to do anything? Maybe I just had bad luck, I dunno...

i'll start! i've got 9 wins / 372 losses vs event fish breath and my second most obnoxious is 5 wins / 225 losses vs meatslab

It's fair to get overwhelmed. It's fair to not want to purchase a big weapon. But you've asked for weapon recs for ages now, so, not sure what alternate answer you're seeking. If you want a fire blocker, you can find some crappy ones for cheap, but ultimately, Natasha will always be better.

Those silver bullets are essentially one use bombs. Not great, but they're still usable. And the weapons that Ether generates are also weapons. They're not the best weapons, but still perfectly usable. And infinite use... So when one of your primary weapon gets stolen... Look at all this fodder you can still use!!!

That sounds like bad luck. The items generated are generally used as steal fodder and help prevent your stuff from getting nabbed.

I will say (and check my mail out for more detailed recs) that it's tough to progress without dolling out for some weapons.

Luckily, Maniacal Essence and MW can be won, and Swashbuckle (the pound for pound best value in the game) is like 90 mil bc item hunt got super easy a few years ago.

But yeah, my armory is mostly loaded up so that in events that need specific blockers, I don't have to look for a lend. That's where the best and most valuable weapons drop usually, and trying to borrow a full blocker during those events is really tough.

the bullets also protect from freezing, so super useful when your stupid parched blessing fails you even though you have 4 OF THEM ON YOUR WEAPONS

Back when Derperator was small, it took me 199 losses to get 1 win on Prod LOL

I didn't even realize they protected from freezing! I've been using Natasha in my default set for ages, but oof. I know those bullets have saved me in past when I've some particularly bad steals from opponents. But the more you know!

Yeah I can't tell you what a relief it was when I was finally able to buy natasha. A lot of opponents in BQs tend to deal earth, dark and fire damage so it was a struggle with natasha and ME. ME took me a looooong time to get. Not having a dark block is super painful.

Yeah.... I feel you. I finally got my ME this year. Soooooooo happy about that. I've already used it a ton.

My Natasha was a hard fought purchase. I'd never had that much sP at a given time before my Natasha. But now, 😍 It's definitely getting it's money's worth being in my default set.

Though, question (for all)... What do you guys use in your default sets as your primary weapons? I've been using Natasha + Trident for ages. At a T13, perhaps there's something better for a "I don't want to think about it, let's just power through" type of set.

Mostly just set up soma/mecha is in the first few turns, and then use whichever blockers cover the most icons on the opponent. Edit - on further thought, even OStaff is situational. I’m high T12 and it feels like anything I can steamroll I don’t care which full blocker, and anything I can’t I have to change my set for. But the marginal benefit of most full blockers over others isn’t as drastic as it seems.

My two default attackers right now are Pobow and BOTB because idk, I’m training a t10 and they were the first two t10 things I saw in my armory LOOL. My t11 and up default attackers are ME and Natasha tho.

Hahaha, your lazy ways speak to me. I might have to give ME a try in my default.

LOLOL tbh, whatever works. I suppose I could pick things more suited to the opponents that challenge me in BQs but ... eeeeeh.
