I used to play religiously but ended up spending wayyy too much actual money on clothes and creations. After being away for a while, I couldn't login because my username was just Sara and it got swiped. Did a password reset and got my new user to log in and now I'M TOTALLY OVERWHELMED.

I thought that I'd restyle my avatar since she's...well...naked, but it's making me pick a basic set to start off with and I should already have some of these in my wardrobe? Do I have to start my wardrobe all over again? What is a good place to go in order to catch up?

I have no idea how long but I stopped playing before I started my job and I celebrated 5 years there in May so it's definitely been over 5 years since I've been here.

First I want to get my avatar set-up but then I'd like some good plots that I should check into. What is relevant now? I see there's an entire island that I can't access and with me being a completionist I will want to figure out how to go there.

Quite some time back, new starting outfits were introduced and at some point us old users got to pick one of those outfits even though our accounts were older. So that may be part of what's going on here. I'd choose a set, then try converting and see if that works.

Yeah, what said, you are forced to choose one whether you want it or not. It won't stop making you try to get one until you do, and it won't work right if you manage to work around it and you will have to file a Ticket in Help to get them to fix it for you. Just pick one.

I'm guessing the Islands you can't get to is the Omen Islands, and you need Uncharted Map Pieces one through nine and then take them to the Game page where you see the game Treasure Maps. These islands did exist five years ago, but the map pieces were harder to get and more costly back then.

Do you know if the wardrobe converter is a flash thing? I click on the link and the page is just blank so I don't know how to convert my avatar. I did put on some clothes though. - I just don't have any eyes or anything.

Oh yeah! Wasn't there like a war where you had to choose to be either an islander or a pirate?

Also, my pets still have their jobs from before I left and that states it was 2012. So it's actually been 7 years. Oh lord.

Is there an update for shops too? When I go to the shop page it states that I have 0 out of 4 shops, but I can see my old shops in the dropdown with a little warning exclamation point next to them. I had 1 shop and 1 gallery.

The islander and pirate war was like a super long time ago, I don't think I was even a member here yet at that point lol.

And yes, there was a shop update as well. You'll have to make new shops in the new system and then move your items over to those if you want to sell more stuff. This guide should explain how to do all of that - New Shop Guides

Shop is up and RUNNING! Yay! Changed my pet names that were swiped.

Also this achievement thing is getting annoying. I have to re-earn all of my previous achievements so when I go to a random page I get either bombarded with new achievements or I don't have proof of anything. My previous shop till had 8 mil in it but I was unable to transfer the till to keep the lifetime achievement going as all history was gone. But when I went to buy an item from an NPC, I ended up getting overwhelmed with achievements and getting a 15% off "buff" (does that mean it's temporary?).

Sorry to overload this forum with questions but I just have a lot of catching up to do and it's SUPER HELPFUL (Thank you!) to have other people helping me along and pointing me in the right direction.

every purchase from NPC shops has a chance to activate the 15% off buff. it gives you a discount on NPC shop purchases for something like... 6 hours? this was added years ago to replace the haggling function when they did away with that (good riddance).

I play on and off frequently, so when I'm gone more than a month I just act like a new player and dive into everything.

I check the games to see if there's new ones. Check the holiday schedule to see if anything is coming up. I browse the pet options to see if any new color or pet was released. Check the free gift to see if theres a new one to pick up.

I haven't been able to browse into the new pets and colors yet. But this has been very busy. I got to rename 5 of my pets because their names had been taken.
