You glimpsed parallel universes, one with tired people sitting at their computers drawing very familiar things and frazzled programmers typing away at something with empty coffee cups strewn around them. What a hectic world!

There was also a world with just slugs. That one looked less fun.

Eventually the rift spits you out mostly unharmed along with 2,500,000 sP!

This has been a losing preposition the last few times I toss sP glad to get it back and some :D

Hey all! How's it going?

I hate packing!! Although it does give a reason for getting rid of stuff you no longer need, so there's that!

We had a rude awakening at 3:30 in the morning yesterday. The apartment above us is vacant and the landlord shut the heat off. The back door to the apartment wasn't latched properly and the wind blew the door open. This led to 33 degrees inside and the pipes froze and burst. We ended up with a waterfall in our bathroom/kitchen. It took us 2 hours to get the situation under control before going back to bed. It could have been worse, but it ruined my day. The original plan was for me to work on some of my unfinished art projects while hubby worked all day. Instead, I was faced with 4 loads of laundry from the towels used to sop up the water and the clothes that got soaked. Plus, hubby came home early to help with the cleanup. Today I got to work on a newsletter and we plan to head out for a hike in the woods during the snowfall. I'm looking forward to burning off some steam! I guess I'll have to save my unfinished projects for another day. LOL

yusss I am loving the piles of stuff headed out the door! I joyfully welcomed strangers to my house to take anything I could get them to take LOL

I once had a neighbour on the 3rd floor (I was on the 1st) that had problematic roommates that put the hose for the washing machine in a hole in the wall instead of the drain. I got the brunt of the water pouring in my laundry room and bathroom. They did this TWICE. There was also pipe issues when the 2nd-floor neighbour moved out making another mess. Years before that at another apart, the landlord didn't want to pay a plumber and let things degrade to the point where the ceiling fell apart from water damage upstairs into my bathroom... when I had to study for important exams.

It stinks... but it's 1 day & a few more dealing with the aftermath. Enjoy the snow, we're having a snowstorm here. Squishy hug ❤

I have the watercolour in front of my computer monitor... brightens up the place while I work on my tablet :D Not healthy... but getting better. I winded up in the hospital due to respiratory distress Sunday. It was a nightmare, falsely accused of faking, etc. but I stood up for myself and eventually was listened to and got what I needed. I have a sinus infection (lingering for 1.5 months now) that's gone into the throat causing asthma problems. I'm now on strong meds to help fix everything. I'm eager to be better without overloading my system... it'll get better with time :)

Yikes, Jenn! I think I would be lost standing there staring at the waterfall before panicking. A call to 911 would not have been off the table for me.

hugs oh no! Darn I wish I misundestood correctly and you were already better, hope that infection clears up asap and you can lose some misery :/ so glad you stood up for yourself! I am horrible at that in a medical setting. Thanks on the HA love ^_^ I didn't start with the cat, but it was obvious to me that he had to live there <3

the smoke alarm went off when it got wet (I never knew they did that!) and I put my pillow over my head, hoping it would stop so I could go back to sleep LMAO! Hubby got up and yelled "HOLY SHIT" so I'm like UGH, no sleep for me!

It's a low-energy day but had some lovely moments. I was able to have my watercolour class (without being interrupted). We did abstract gradient pebbles; I impressed the group :D I got my food basket with lots of lovely goodies. I held back tears of joy getting a box of paper masks. It's tough to get & expensive; however, my aunt has been encouraging me to get some since they can protect a bit better than cloth. 1st time (most likely the only time) we get some. I also got fancy body wash and laundry stain remover! Silly how simple things can mean so much in a confinement. Reminds me a bit of when I was in China and we would get a Christmas box from the army with things that weren't obtainable in China and made one feel closer to home.

I finally qualify for extra financial help as of this month. I looked at my budget and calculated I could treat myself a bit. There are a few things I've been wanting for months but it wasn't possible. There are two purses I have been eyeing and I finally found them at more affordable prices. Today, I got one of them:

It's a teapot purse :D I was really excited to get it and showed it off to a friendly neighbour and the security guard when I went to the mailbox. They were impressed :) The opening is a little smaller than I had hoped (wanted to put my tablet in it) but it'll still be great. Originally I wanted silver; however, it's out of stock or has exorbitant prices. It's "copper" but more like antique gold. It'll still work well.

I also ordered a working clock purse that will eventually arrive:

I'm exhausted and it's a bit challenging to breathe; but, pleasant surprises made it more enjoyable :)
