GENERAL UPDATES: JUNE 15

Happy Saturday :) I hope everyone is having a good weekend! and I have an important update today about our Saturday Sprint posts.

As many of you are aware, we've been steadily working on a bunch of longer-term projects - such as pet profiles, teahut, other new features and major old feature revamps - alongside our weekly sprints. Right now, we're at a point where we want to ramp up our efforts on those longer-term projects, to really drive them forward! Thus, we are changing our sprint schedule from weekly to monthly. We'll still be doing suggestions and QoL updates, they'll just be recapped in a monthly post instead of once-a-week.

We are still figuring out the details (such as which day of the month we'll be doing the post on), but we'll be sure to update you once we have more information. <3

Now, on to today's post!

I'm currently dogsitting a coworkers dog who will not let me go five minutes without petting her, so I haven't gotten much work done today (SHE'S TOO CUTE. SHE USES HER CUTE POWER FOR EVIL). I have gone through and cleared the Item Report queue (over 50 items lol), though! Keep submittin' things. I really enjoy the ones that are like "THIS DOESN'T READ WELL, MAYBE THIS WOULD WORK BETTER." Y'all are stars.

Without further ado, let's hop right into this week's updates!

• The GA perk for putting all your pets into the resort at once now works even if you already have a pet in there. Now, it will just put the remaining pets in there and you'll only be charged for those pets.

• There's now a character counter on the text boxes for forum post replies and making new forum topics. This counter shows the character limit and updates as you type.

• The pet spotlight nomination link now shows up on your own pets' profiles. This should make coding a bit easier! Of course, you still cannot nominate your own pets.

• The option to "Remove One" from a shop when using Account Search has returned. Currently, it's only back for shops; galleries are still being worked on, but we are aiming to have it back for galleries within the next 2 weeks.

For the curious, I can't go into great detail, but this was an unintended side effect of some efficiency-oriented changes we've been making to shop and gallery data. These are all behind-the-scenes changes so they won't change anything you can see, but will reduce the strain shops and galleries have on the site :) Unfortunately, while this is ongoing, it was safest to remove the Account Search feature. We've just completed the process for shop data and are almost done with galleries, so it won't be long now. We appreciate your patience <3
