OMGOSH food. LOL I am not joking, food is vital because hospital food is not always good. Also they might not bring it to you when you want it, so it's best to have backup.s :D Also cause sometimes people who are visiting you for a long time might get hungry and they would have to leave you to go buy food. (Although I tend to bring tons of food cause I over-prepare in that area.)

When I was in the hospital they gave me lots of socks, and blankets, and other things (even cold water) but not food.

make sure you bring extra comfy and loose clothes! Also a phone charger so you can charge it to take pictures of your little one! <3

Of course, I would definitely make sure comfy clothes and a tasty treat for you. But I guess absolute essentials has to be nappies (diapers) and clothes for the baby. Otherwise you’ll be bringing her home naked ??

Thank you ALL for the feedback. As crazy as this sounds... a toothbrush was NOT one of the things I was thinking of. So this really did help a lot! I love the idea of face wipes and food... and well all of it.

I want to get a christmas gift for my husband FROM the baby, but I don't know what. I have a few ideas, but nothing I'm sold on just yet. Any suggestions??? (She will not be born in time for photos/footprints etc - this is just for fun, like an "I can't wait to meet you" type thing)

hm maybe something engraved with her name if you have one for sure picked out... in my husbands case would be a zippo lol.

There are lots of places that pics of your baby onto items eg coffee mug, T-shirt etc or into an album.

I love this! I would want to use actual hand and footprints tho. She won't be born in time for christmas gift ... BUT i love this for a birthday gift idea! His bday is about a month after she is born

yeah a lot of ideas are curtailed by the fact that she won't be born before you would be giving the present. I think maybe see if you can get access to some of the ultrasound images? Like maybe take an ultrasound and do some sort of watercolor painting inspired by it (or pay someone to do it if you're not comfortable/confident in your ability to paint this)

A Christmas gift for the hubby from the baby is a cute idea. :D I think a cute thing could be something for self-care-man-time? Like a gift certificate to his favorite shoppe, many cologne/body care product, or food/thing. Or something that would allow him to have some man-time as presented from the baby, to sort of signify that it's not going to always be about the baby but self-care is also important. :) IDK what specific thing though.
