I personally don't tend to participate in HA challenges but I know a lot of people like them so maybe you could do an either/or week? (i.e. to participate, either make an HA or something else like I dunno, make an item set around the theme/item instead)

Balloons are seriously awesome for celebrations! They're one of my favorite ways to decorate too. They're super cheap and pretty. Well it's all fun until people start popping them at least :P
