My favorite way of eating potatoes is in tater tot form, hash brown form and curly fries form.

Potatoes have to be parboiled then roasted in goose fat until they're golden and crispy! Yummy!

Unless they're sweet potatoes, then they should be fries ;)

My favourite way to eat potatoes is latkes smothered in applesauce and sour cream! Soooo tasty but sooo bad for you lol.

I have a few favorite ways to eat potatoes, as French fries, baked potatoes or mashed. I'm picky on French fries, I only like curly fries and shoestring fries because they can be crunchy. I tend to put too much salt on my fries and then I dip them in either BBQ sauce or honey mustard. When I eat baked potatoes, I avoid the skin and I mash the insides then smother them in butter, cheese and pepper. With mashed potatoes, I like them to be creamy. With no hard chunks. Then it gets smothered in butter and pepper and sometimes I add cheese.

My favorite way to eat potatoes is in spiral cut form or as some refer to it as curly fries. And they have to be seasoned with Lawry's seasoned salt. Yummy!

Ugh, I had morning sickness pretty much the entire time of both my pregnancies :( I prefer red skinned mashed potatoes with the skins left in! Lots of butter too :)

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup!

I like potatoes just about every way;

  • curly fries
  • straight fries
  • wedges (though these need a WHOLE lot of sauce)
  • mashed (especially with a ton of butter [or butter substitute - found out belatedly I've a dairy intolerance that includes the protein, not just the sugar {also learned that neither the molecule breaks down into nothing, even on a molecular scale you can clearly see "lactose" and "caseine"}] and sometimes gravy; depends on the mood and where I am when eating them)
  • pancakes/latkes
  • hash browns
  • chips/sticks (i.e. hickory sticks) ... not a big fan of potato salad, though. might be the temperature.

My sympathies for the morning sickness. I never had cravings on either of my pregnancies; I did however go off of hot drinks, our bodies are weird aren't they :)

My favourite potatoes are very crispy roasties. I par boil them, then after draining toss them in the saucepan with paprika and celery salt and give them a good old shake to fluff up the outer surface and cover with the spices, then roast in a very hot oven in goose fat. Yummy

oh i'm so weird about potatoes...i've got all the genetics for loving them, but i don't really like them unless they're mashed, roasted, or in VERY specific types of fries, especially tots! i really don't like, say, chunks of potato in stew or boiled dinner.

I can relate to delicious potato cravings! Im on low carb diet LOL!!

my favorite was with cheese, pieces of chopped bacon, sour cream and smoked salmon, YES I did say smoked salmon. Its sooooooo goood.

Fries will always be my favourite way to eat them! But this one time in foods class we made potato pancakes and it was soooo good. (They were kind of like hashbrowns.) We grated potatoes and added some flour, then pan-fried it.

My favorite way will always be as fries, usually the especially crispy ones (never burnt, just with a good level of crunchiness), though honorable mention goes to sweet potatoes with marshmallow on thanksgiving!

Twice baked YUM YUM

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Wash the potatoes and pierce them with a fork. Rub the potatoes with the olive oil and place them on a jellyroll pan or a large cookie sheet with a rim. Bake the potatoes for 45 minutes to an hour, or until done. Remove the potatoes from the oven and cut them in half lengthwise. Set aside. Reduce the temperature of the oven to 350 degrees F.
  3. When the potatoes are cool enough to handle, scoop out the potato flesh into a large electric mixing bowl. Add the milk, butter, sour cream, cheese, garlic salt, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix until creamy. Divide the mixture evenly and spoon it back into the potato shells. Return the potatoes to the oven for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and garnish with the baco bits and green onion (and sour cream or butter). Cook’s Note (not mine, from the internet; my kids bake this) I learned the hard way not to wrap the potatoes in foil before baking. It softens the shells and they will fall apart not good! Baking them unwrapped makes the shells stronger for scooping out the potato flesh later.
