I'm afraid that is correct; we have been working on a major overhaul of the entire site layout, and we are unlikely to release new site themes before that point. We have limited time and resources, and we'd rather not work on features that will get thrown away once the new layout comes out. (After that point though... well, we'll have to wait and see!)

I know several parts of the current layout seem to have been neglected (for instance, sidebar widgets are another area we no longer update for the most part) but it's largely because we are actively working on their replacements behind-the-scenes. We would rather devote our resources to making sure the replacement is as well-done as possible when it is released.

(Finally just a quick note- I appreciate the ping but I'm just a coder here. I think a site theme would actually require more art than coding, and typically is the one you would want to ping about achievements, since she's usually the one who makes them up. Though in this case, since you were asking about the new layout I was able to be helpful I hope! :) )
