I am SO happy they finally made rift pets, they look so good!

I yote my battle pet in but I'm still waiting for her to come back out, if she does, what's the rough timeline for that? A day?

I would guess that since the rift is open all year long, there would be the lore-compatible possibility that more pet species could become specifically affected over time. That would leave it open to staff releasing new species in the rift color whenever the artwork is ready and not waiting for only Masquerade.

At least that's what I hope, lol. I want to see what the rift blob will look like eventually ~

It was about 48 hours for the pets that were thrown in right when it became available.

So, do you guys just send a pet in, and it came back that new rift color automatically with no warning? I'm shocked I haven't heard anyone complaining their expensive color was taken from them with no indication it would happen....?

And also, what is happening to pets sent in that haven't had a rift version made?

Well it did say on the page before you threw your pet in that it could cause it to change in unexpected ways, and there was a confirmation pop-up with the same warning as well. If people were paying attention, they knew they were taking a risk.

Anyway, if the pet species doesn't have the rift color available for it yet, it turns into either the RA-001 or RA-002 which are shown at the bottom of the news post announcement, It seems to be random which one of the two you'll get.

No problem! The biggest concern was when our pets disappeared from our accounts completely, because I think people weren't expecting that to happen. But once staff confirmed that they would be returning eventually and that stats and important things would remain intact, it helped to ease people's worries.

Yeah, I can definitely imagine that would cause some serious panic. x.x

I was a little nervous at first, but I ended up tossing one of my pets with a cheaper color/species combo (dusk lasirus) in before I saw the news post. I'm really glad that lasiruses are available in the new color! And I loved the Rift serpenth so much that I yeeted one of my serpenths in there LOL

I'm not a huge fan of the regular pets for this color (Sorry!), yet I'm really excited for both of the experiments! :D Had to run out and throw a perfectly good and shy antlephore in to receive my obnoxious new baby,

I'm not too fond of it yet just because I'm not a huge fan of monstrous looking things, but the colors are amazing. Perhaps when more pets are released, I'll have a change of heart 👀

...Not too fond of the excessive teeth and eyes, but hey, none of us are perfect. They still inspired me enough to do a little editing and make a 70s/80s themed rockstar pet.
