I'm wondering if nothing coming out is random?
I think nothing is random. The comedian achievement might behave like the troll - where certain item(s) trigger it but only for a certain amount of time (or a certain amount of folks getting the achievement with that item). I don't think it's guaranteed with the salad.
[edit] I've adjusted the item notes on SL to reflect this possibility. Also I'm still thinking of a good way to explain that you can use any of a certain group for pie and coffee - if anyone on this thread has ideas on that (that can be searched/linked) please drop me a line (sMail or comment or post here)!
