Gotta agree with everyone else saying that the descriptions where they are now is absolutely unnecessary. If you're that desperate to see the item description you can hover, or clicking the item does the same thing. Of all the things that could have been shown there (rarity, item ID, etc), the description is the least useful. 😬
Popping in to say I also do not like the descriptions. We can see them in the hover (which we'd have to pull up to preview a wearable anyway) and the lengthy ones just stretch everything.
If the descriptions are removed can the item name and search links move below the item? You'd be able to have more items per row that way, yeah? (Seriously, if I'm wrong thinking that correct me.)
The account/ship search as words don't bother me. You'd only save a single line if they were swapped to the hour glass and shopping cart icons. I like how the links are right there now though. Handy on mobile which is how I play a lot.
Is the Directory link in the Subeta drop down new? If it is I love it. (If its not I'm an unobservant idiot but I still love it XD )
Overall, I like the revamp. I LOVE that we can sort by multiple things, and that we can sort ascending/descending. Searching by use is AMAZING. Specifying rarities and having a description search is FANTASTIC. I love checking the directory for new items, so having the changing URL is really great for me to set a bookmark (time added, descending, spoilers shown).
That being said... The descriptions are a huge space-suck. What I could see being a nice compromise- have another check box next to the spoiler one where you can choose compact or expanded view. Expanded view is what it looks like now, descriptions, written out shop/account search. Compact could be something more like how the wishlists look. Where you just have the icons for shop/account search, and no descriptions at all. The name, image, and two search icons.
I personally liked how in the old directory, the images themselves WEREN'T clickable. So you could view the item specific page only if you clicked on the item name. I love using the directory for adding to my wishlist, so having the images clickable does make me miss the "+wishlist" button a good deal.
The new search methods are great. The item descriptions, not so much. I think they're unnecessary and clutter the page. You can already get the description plus the Account Search and Search Shop links from the item hover. Why add them to the directory page?
I've been waiting to give an opinion until I got used to this, and still am really but oh well.
I like the update. I didn't care for the item types and uses search at first, but I like it a lot now. Though I wish the big block of text could be hidden somehow ? Iunno.
I'd like it if the clickability of the item was changed. I can't just copy the item name anymore, it automatically goes and is annoying.
My biggest gripe though is with the descriptions. Please remove those. I can get over the, honestly useless, search links being right there but the descriptions need to go. They take up more space than needed, some are very long, and some of them have sentences without spaces for the funny, which basically screws it all up even more. And no, no the descriptions should not be altered or shortened to fix this. It'scuteandfunnybutdoesnotgowellwiththissetuppleaseremovethedescriptionsfromthedirectorythankyou.
If you're on PC, hold Alt while you select the text. It ignores the link and treats it as regular text. It might work the same on Mac but I don't know.

Wishlisting from my phone via the database is also impossible now since the item images are clcikable. This makes this part of the site completely useless from my phone :/
Also no restock location in the item details anymore :/ Especially frustrating right before events when that information helps people to sort out what they need and from where. Same with the inability to easily wishlist the new items.
[edit] It's taken over 30 minutes to add 48 items to my wish list on my phone because I have to open new tabs or go back and forth over and over. This is even worse than the description issue imo. The goal of the revamos is to make the site more usable, not less, right?
I really don't like the fact that the item image is clickable....several times I've tried WLing an item only to end up clicking to the item instead and going to its separate page....I mean, I can go slowly and it'll all work out, but sometimes I still can misclick...
