how are you all doing? Did grocery shopping day 3 today. It was one of the longest shopping lists in a super busy walmart with people clammouring to buy back to school things. I'm dead on my feet, which hurt lol. Still have one more shop to go but thankfully its a much smaller shop.

Three days of shopping, no fun at all.

I cannot get over how good these mermaids look honestly.

Thank you so much ! I am a bit overly excited over them and have already worked on a couple of recolors but need to hold on. For male I've done the Galactic + Riftborn recolor, and one that was meant to be albino but because of how I see merfolk and how their colorations are (mermen are more colorful, mermaids more 'basic' but isn't super strict), he's just very pale with super colorful, pastel hair and opal + oilslick tail. And have started work on two others. o-o For the mermaid I've done the the albino one, whose tail is light opal and hair is blonde. In the description it's going to note that merfolk with albinism tend to take on color more easily. ... Perhaps I've thought about this too much, but this is also stuff I've wanted to use in Mermen's profile. It's basically like I'm taking pieces of that pets info and putting it into these.

Oooh, I'm excited to see all of those honestly. And I love that there's lore in your head (and hopefully eventually on Merman's profile) to go along with the colorations and your ideas for how and why they look the way that they do. I really love the unique takes on albinism for merfolk in general ❤️

I did some digging and evidently there's also leucism, which is similar to how I thought albinism would work for merfolk. But this just means I get to re-think how they both work. The mermaid will touch on albinism and the merman will touch on leucism.

I'm very excited to see how those turn out and also am gonna encourage you to work on Merman's page and build in a section that explains color variations across the mermen and mermaids and all that (like, this is a great opportunity to make a whole neat page xD).
