TOS was really good but it was a product of its time. In the episode "Plato's Stepchildren" they showed the first interracial kiss on US television, but it was also a plot point of one episode that starship captains had to be male. That pissed me off, so in TNG I was hoping for a piece of history about how that had changed rather than it just being swept under the rug as "that never happened, here look at the lady captain from Kirk's era."

Rumi is also selling some items that annoy the crap out of me :) I don't have a problem with people being vegan or being proud of being vegan but I have a problem when they are proud of it in a way that puts everyone else down who isn't.

But it's really good! There are some super good episodes, like Devil in the Dark and Amok Time, and City on the Edge of Forever, and Day of the Dove, that you really should see!

I would be extremely surprised if you can't, particularly if you have access to Hulu. I can't recall if they're on Netflix or not. Most of the best episodes are in the first and second seasons. You might want to skip Turnabout Intruder (the one about the woman who couldn't be a captain and lost her mind). You should definitely skip Spock's Brain unless you're in the mood to laugh your butt off at something that wasn't very good when it was made.

we were goign to some caverns but Baxter had stitches on Sat and Nigel got sick so we had to take them to the vets. THey think Nigel got sick from some of the blood getting on him. So we'll wait till Baxter's stitches are out and then go. So tomorrow's plans are cake and ice cream and ribs. that's about it lmao. Well open presseies :D
