Hey battle peeps, I need some set advice for beating Lukien. I finally remembered to go x amount of days to visit him and to unlock him. Any advice for battle set to beat him? (honestly, I am too lazy to go look back in the previous thread to find the answer)

Hey, I think he's a pain to beat... 1 win 2 losses. Really just need to take the losses and grind through him. LOL.

It's after the second Thursday of the month but there's no news about what they're doing for battling this year, usually they would say so if they had something planned but it was delayed? Unless they said so elsewhere and not in the news, they do that sometimes...

I was just thinking they could be waiting till Saturday now, seeing as they changed the site updates to that day maybe they wanted to wait to mention anything about battling. I guess we have to wait and see.

hey all, a hairs width away from hitting tier 6, so I'm looking for some set advice.

I usually just stick to BQs but i'm now doing the 50 grind to get tomes.

Congrats on (almost) T6! There are a lot of staples that will serve you well no matter your tier. In addition to the Recycle Blaster and Phoenix Quill that you already have, you should look into: (I personally prefer Soma over Truth Serum, and hardly ever use the latter, but it's worth mentioning.)

You should also pick up a freezer: The collar is marginally better but the gorgon is way cheaper.

The attackers I use in T6 probably aren't ideal, so take these suggestions with a grain of salt: I like the icon stacking of using these together:

Other than that I just use whatever weapons deal/block icons appropriate for whatever challenger I'm battling. It's always worth it to acquire a Trident of the Banished One if you can get it, but I think that's been tough for awhile now. I also use Replica Minotaur Knocker some. They're both scaling weapons so don't be fooled by the Tier 1 designation.

For scrolls, make a Terra Focujin, pick up some Cobalt Eternals from the MC, and look into buying some freezing scrolls such as Shriek of Despair and Psychosmasher. You can make a Cold Blast Scroll by battling certain opponents for their tattered scroll pieces and combining them.

That's a lot of info to throw at you at once but I hope it helps!

yeah i was looking at the two tier set stickied but they were from 2012 and 2014 respectively, so I thought i'd ask to see if anything was more up to date.

i've been trying to get the trident, probably a lot of people have, its a pipe dream at this point. the gorgun i could get easily with my hard tokens, do you know the % of the collar verse that?

i'm also quite fond of the blade of sacrifice/kusarigawa, although i do need to look more into icon stacking when i get into higher tiers, huh. i'm still new to a lot of things, battling isnt super intuitive to me. i do like heal/damage combos, though. i'll try getting my hands on a knocker, since the tridents a no-go and when people sell them it's outlandish, haha. thanks for the help!

They're both 100% freezers I believe, the tier difference is just based on damage/blocking, and the price difference is just availability. There are a ton of things sP would be better spent on than just that slight difference, so if it were me I wouldn't worry about the collar. Just spend the tokens on the gorgun and then eventually upgrade to the Intricate Energized Helmet.

I wish staff would do something about the Trident. It's such a useful staple, especially for lower tiers. I don't think it should be dirt cheap, but it should at least be attainable.
