Quick question for all you fine battle folks...
I bought the bloody summoning altar recently and was wondering how the stages work. Specifically, does summoning the next stage replace Meatslab, the Resting... or does it just open the next stage as a new opponent?
Just wondering if I should keep the Resting around until I actually have some chance of beating the next stage. 😆
It opens as a new, different opponent. Once you have all three stages unlocked, you will have three separate permanent opponents :)
I assumed that was how it would work. But it seemed to be worth asking. Thank you!
On a side note, I finished my BQs today too... no experimenting until midnight I guess.
And it’s like that for all opponents with multiple stages so don’t worry about losing any challengers :P
Thanks! I'm slowly but surely working through Forj too. Just... for healing. If I had to sit there doing it over and over and over until I hit 70, I'd lose my shit. 😆
Hmm should have kept one or two BQs opened to try things, guess I gotta wait till Midnight, assuming you need to do anything there to enrage the old man.
Well that is not it
I just lost on turn one with my T12 and that was long and painful and wasn't it. I also tried skipping turn one and nope.
Edit: Forfeiting a battle didn't work either.

I went out of my way to not heal Wrain between battles, so it would accumulate a bit of damage throughout my BQ's (1-25), which did not work. Did the last 5 with Chums. Maybe tomorrow I'll take on number 26 with Wrain and die there if no one else (Wesker) has unlocked him yet. Used my regular set, which included healing weapons and scrolls (aftershocks, GotF). It probably wouldn't involve specific BQ levels since they're probably going to design the trigger as one that can be done by anyone with a battle pet.
It's not forcing a low-tiered pet to take on someone vastly out of its range. Or doing BQs after only feeding one item to the pet.

Your default set needs to have 5 snowballs, then visit Reischen. Snowballs that can be added to the armory include Snowball, Love Snowball, Coal Snowball, Yellow Snowball, and Radioactive Snowball.
Apparently Gingerbread Swords also work. Possibly other things with "snow" in name?

Things of note about fighting him
Alright, so when he has the Blessing of Natural Armor icon up he cannot be frozen. A dark blocker is ideal, blasting at least one of his axes helps since he has two and boy do they hurt when he lands them together. He can freeze with his Masterfully Thrown Snowball. All in all, he's pretty decent.
Just hoping his loot is since I haven't tested it yet.
Well, he didn't completely crush me. If I figure out the right weapons/scrolls and get lucky with blasting, I may be able to eke out a couple of wins on him.
