You're right, I'll sMail and hopefully get that straightened out!
Meinlong (the cash shop enemy) is missing.
must have corrected that because they are defiantly in the list now.
Yesterday I spent some time getting caught up on all of the missing challengers (see first post for updates).
I'll be updating the Gelly War opponents with missing or new information as the event unfolds. Mini Gelatin Gelatin Glider Gelatin Golem Gelashell Gelatin Wizard Gelatin Stomper Hydragellos
Feel free to post here or ping me if you need set advice. Some basic suggestions are over here, but you may need to tailor your set to the stronger opponents if you meet the tier recommendations and are still struggling. If an opponent has a chance to steal or freeze, using Blessing of Natural Armor Tear Crystal mods on your weapons should help prevent those.
Thank you @ Jess for a comprehensive update of the BQ challengers.
I remembered you mentioned about challengers that didn't have a category, and ended up in the BQ list. I have found some of them: (August 2012 SSS Ambassador Plot Challengers)
Also, there were challengers from the 2012 Lumi fairy magic mini-event. I can't find a challenger list, but here's what I recall: (Easy) Two-Headed Dysfunctional Teddy Bear (ID 134) (Medium) Susie (ID 135) (Hard) Clive (ID 136) (Very Hard) Scary Singer (ID 137) (Extremely Hard) Scavenger (ID 138) (Impossible) Unstable Snow Fairy (ID 139)
Edit: Added their IDs to make searching from high scores easier.
Thanks to I was recently battling The Giant and noticed his Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum (Blessing) doesn't always prevent freezing him again. Strangely, it does seem to lower a freezing scrolls chance (to what percentage I'm not sure. Maybe 50%? for a normally 75% chance) Maybe someone can nail down what's going on with this bully.
You’re right, he can still be frozen. I’ll edit it to say ‘chance to prevent freezing.’ I’m not sure if the freezing odds are being reduced exactly, but I have seen other blessings written out by prior guide authors that say they have a chance to prevent freezing. It’s definitely a mechanic I’d like to learn more about :P
I wonder about the number of turns on the blessing. I couldn't tell if it was activating each turn or if it activated the first turn and kept going. I just now had a battle where his blessing didn't activate on the first turn. It was the only time out of 70 some battles. Since I was chain freezing him I noticed the chance seem to go up. After 75 wins he's getting kinda feisty!
I kinda doubt that they have the mechanics to make it reduce the percentage of freezing, I wonder if it was just tested wrong at first or if it has since changed (possibly accidently).
I know other opponents have broken in the past.

The only other info I could find for him is in ’s opponent spreadsheet and she also says that the blessing has ‘a chance to prevent freezing.’ It’s possible I could have made a mistake, but it also seems odd that I wouldn’t have noticed him being frozen at some point :P
I just tested it myself. It's really bizzare, it actually does appear to only block freeze sometimes. I even tried multiple battles with a 100% freezer while the blessing was up and sometimes it would freeze and sometimes I wouldn't.

I wouldn't have noticed it either if I hadn't already had two freezing mods on each of my two main attack weapons. I wasn't trying to freeze, it just happened. Looking at it a little further the blessing is usually activated on the first turn and last throughout the entire battle. It's chance to prevent freezing appears to be a coin toss.
I did find a few other instances where blessings had a chance to prevent stealing or freezing instead of preventing them entirely:
Malerias Familiar: Malerias Protection (freezing and stealing) Terrafirma: Stones Throw (freezing) Chronocrone: Nick of Time (freezing) Menecuda: Advantageous Mutation (freezing)
You can see in [userid=562819]'s blog entries for Terrafirma and Malerias Familiar that the mechanic has been around for a while. I did the write-ups for Chronocrone and Menecuda though so it's weird that I didn't catch it for The Giant. But I'm going to assume it was just an error on my part rather than him being broken.
You weren't wrong, it appears to be working the way you have it listed. I was just surprised that it would be set up that way since I thought they had pretty limited custom code for things like that.
I guess my surprise partially comes from why would they do it that way instead of just trying to adjust the up time of the blessing/curse. Especially when at least in the case of the giant I think its a pretty high% chance to block the freeze.

Who knows :P But I am curious if it works the way [userid=617255] suggested, by reducing the chances of freezing on your weapons and scrolls directly, or if there is something else at play like manipulating the odds for a successful freeze.
I would say the simplest explanation is probably the right one. It probably just is only active a percentage of the time.
But there is also not a great way for us to test what the exact effect is anyways.

One Three Snake Eyes' Black Cat Scroll is listed as healing 13% HP, but it really heals a flat 13.
Thank you. Fixed :)
[edit] Guides for the Morostide opponents are in the first post under the 'Recent Opponents' spoiler, sorted how they would be on the challenge page. They can also be found under 'Seasonal Opponents' and 'Site Event Opponents.' We're going to have a total of 20 challengers over four different waves so keep your eyes on the news! Happy battling!
Thank you for the hard work!!!
interesting so 5 new opponents this year? Either that or i'm guessing the pirates will come back or something like that in the middle.
