I get paranoid about the cloud when things happen like I need to go get my pap and suddenly internet ads in my word game about cervical health. I also have been putting down my age on many websites -20 since the late 90s because the ads that are targeted at women our age just offend the shit out of me, the assumptions that because I'm a certain age I must be interested in things (that I'm not interested in, or aren't to my taste).

Yep, that's what they do! They have the zoomies 250% more than any other animal on earth except possibly for the fossa that lives in the zoo in San Jose, which is always either asleep or zooming. (I think it needs more enrichment, tbh.)
