If you use the autopricer, I strongly advise you to take a look at the prices that it suggests before letting it change your shop prices.

Someone is fucking around with the market. They've been pricing items completely randomly, so far as I can tell. Some of the items in their shop are priced at 10-100 times what they are worth, and that part's hilarious.

BUT.

They were pricing mage amulets at 100k SP, retired SBQ items at 20k (one of which is an item that's normally in 8 figures), and all sorts of really expensive foods like Peka-Boo and Libertine Lounge foods at 5000 SP. I went through their shop last night and cleaned out a lot of the underpriced stuff--there were foods I wanted for my pets, SBQ items that I wanted, and all sorts of things that just went into my shop at the price that is usual for those items per trends/subetalodge. I ended up buying multiple copies of a lot of those things because other people had autopriced.

The same thing was still happening early this morning before I went to work and at lunch. There is a lot of stuff on the market right now that you can snap up for 5-100K, so if you have stuff on your wishlist it's a good time to look. Or just restock your shops.

I think there may be more than one person doing this, but the shop that I saw most of it in was bizarrely and completely random in the price choices and was usually the first shop to price the items at these prices.

Anyhow, I'm mentioning this because I don't want anyone here to blindly use the autopricer and then find out that they just sold their Anechka Sheepish items for 20K, when they were hoping for trades or saving for Black Friday/Lumi or working on a shop till achievement.

It's nuts out there.

The thing that I don't like about that sort of activity is that the autoprice feature means that if you for whatever reason set a stupidly low price on things (for instance, you're just tired of looking at an item in your shop) it doesn't just affect you--if someone doesn't snap your super bargain up fast, suddenly people all of the site are selling items at ridiculous prices and not even knowing that they're doing so.

I had forgotten how much I enjoyed his books. And while I don't do much fantasy I love most post apocalyptic type novels.

I used to get sick every year at this time too. Ugh so annoying but since I started taking zyrtec every day I don't get the February crud anymore.

So what you said about the shop pricing is the reason I have a shop just for items over 99,999K. I got tired of losing expensive stuff because some a-hole priced stuff unrealistically low. :-D

That is one of the reasons I live out here in California. It was worse when I didn't!

I just don't autoprice. The gold account has a feature that is just as good as autoprice--it tells you the lowest price in the market when you edit your shops but doesn't automatically change it unless you use the autopricer. That way if the price looks stupid or hinky I can go and see what's going on. If some idiot has decided to dump stuff and a bunch of people have autopriced, then depending on how many people autoprice, I can either leave the price alone and wait for it to rise or if there's not too many people who have autopriced, I can just buy it all and put it in my shop at the right price.

Yes, I price my expensive stuff that way. All of the junk in my main shop I don't really care about. Idiots have been doing that nonsense for years.

There's parts of Cali I would love to live! I really want to move to a warmer climate but haven't talked the hubs into yet.

I make most of my sp through selling restockables. I probably should have a shop for items under 5k but the truth is that if it's under 5k and I don't need it I frag it because I have a crystal shop problem.
