Professor Jade Mathers entered the room looking a bit sad and address to the students in a monotone voice: “Good day students. I was told by an unpleasant ghost today that I look like I'm older than her and that I was wearing grandmother's clothing so I decided I needed a makeover and want the young students help so I won't make the same fashion mistakes again. I don't intend to dress like one of the members of the Wicked Witches rock band, but something less old fashioned. Please consider my personal tastes.”

Callista thought surely that this would be an easy assignment. Just a little makeup, a more polished updo, an updated pair of glasses and a smile would get Professor Mathers three-quarters of the way of Grandma's closet.
And there were a lot of mori-style clothes in soft colours that would suit the professor perfectly,
But there were two sticking points.
One was no jewellery. Callista had a hard time imagining a high-necked blouse without at least a little pin at the neckline--blouses that might have otherwise looked frumpy and prudish looked lovely with a brooch. But she did own a cream blouse with soft pink buttons that would probably do, so she added that to her sketch with a soft long skirt, warm stockings and pretty flats.
The other one was the shawl. Callista hated Professor Mathers' shawls. The old-fashioned glasses and the shawls were the main reason Professor Mathers looked like a grandma.
The first thing she did was find a pretty embroidered cardigan that could go over the blouse. Maybe that would be warm enough that the Professor wouldn't think she needed the shawl. Then she found the least offensive, best-matching shawl she could find in any of the Gladrags catalogues, and drew it draped across the Professor's shoulders and chest instead of wrapped around her like a blanket (the way Callista's Nonna Melina wore them!)
With the sleeves of the cardigan showing and the ruffle at the throat of the blouse, it ... still looked like a shawl, but it looked like a shawl being worn by a young woman who was cold, not somebody's Nonna.
Callista finished her sketch quickly and handed it in, a little nervous--she was always a little nervous about these assignments because they were in her area of expertise, and she felt a little strange when she didn't win. Maybe this time...

I don't think this skirt is too short.., do you? Of course, as a centaur, perhaps I'm not the best judge of how short is too short.... Outfit Not Found A rejuvenating rinse of walnut and madder root will not only make your hair strong and shiny, but will add warm brown highlights. and the soft teals and blues of the blouse, skirt, shoes and shawl are a nice compliment to your lovely creamy skin. No makeup or jewelry to clutter up your natural look, just some soft pastel stockings to tie everything together.

--I haven't heard from you, and am getting nervous--though you're probably just busy.
Previous versions of this challenge have permitted us to add to or slightly change the makeup on the bases. I would rather leave my entry as is if this has not changed, because I did use the base. I used the Kore Woodland Walk eyes on the base, but added eye makeup and blush. Nose and skintone were not changed. If you view my entry in the wardrobe you'll be able to see that.
I did change the shape of the mouth because that mouth represents a specific expression that most people don't have on their faces 24/7. (I have extreme RBF and even I don't look like that all the time.) If you really feel that expression is an integral part of the base I can change it back, but there are very few lipstick items that will layer well with that scowl.
And yes, I did change the glasses, but as a person who actually wears glasses, changing the shape of your glasses can be an important part of any makeover. If you'd stated that she'd refuse to wear any glasses other than pince-nez, I'd not have done that, but they're not part of her body. I didn't change anything that you'd have to do Transfiguration to change, just gave her a smile, new glasses and makeup.

Outfit Not Found Parker is touched by her professor's plight and want to help her.
Professor Mathers will look less old-fashioned but still age-appropriate after her student styles her. Parker puts her teacher's hair in a different bun, applies blush to her face, and tops off everything with subtle lashes. Pretty lashes always make everyone appear more youthful! She keeps in mind the lady's personal likes and dislikes and accommodates her with flat shoes, a long and lacy tulle skirt, a silk blouse, a sash for a pop of color, and a very cool sheer shawl that she drapes artfully about her.

A nice shade of lipstick helps to appear younger (and a smile does, too!). The hair is tied in a tidy bun - however, a long streak of hair is brushed to the side. The asymmetry of her hairstyle supports the youthful image of the Professor. I enchanted the glasses to make them look more modern, but they still remain their style. For clothes, I only went with white and rosé, as these colours are timeless, but chose to combine the pieces in a trendy way, appropriate to the professor's respectful age.

Professor Mathers would look wonderful in a summer outfit, light and breezy yet with sensible shoes and a modern bag for all her belongings.

I'm going to say this one last time because I am quite sure the instructions are clear enough. If I give you a base is to use all the items in it otherwise why even bother to leave the glasses on. If in past challenges they were allowed to change the glasses it doesn't concern me since this is my challenge and I make the rules. I want to keep some of her essence in the HA and I think the glasses give more of a challenge too. So I hope this is clear enough, I apologize if I sound rude having bad days.
About the lips, you can still do layers on them. I would let you change them but she has peculiar lip shape.

Thank you. I'll change the entry. I will put the original entry under a spoiler. I was very proud of it, because even without a rule about changing the base in any way, the stipulation that we had to make her look younger with a shawl, a long dress and no bold colours was already quite challenging!
