"Okay, so now we 'ave each successfully done ze spell - more or less." She shrugged and smiled. "Can we be done wiv zis torture and treat ourselves now?" She was almost pleading, aware that they had gained observers out of those who had already finished.
She clapped. "Well done Magnus ()! "I wouldn't try using my wand though. I'm the only person it works for. Acacia wood. It's very stubborn." She was kind of curious if he would. She walked over and took her wand back.
She smiled at Sauvage ( ). "I think we're good. I need to run down to the dorms and get my purse and money. Did you want to come with me or meet me in front of the Great Hall? Magnus, Shall we meet in 10 minutes?"
Amelia Tudor, Hufflepuff
"Yeah I think we're done. Thanks. I wouldn't ever use someone else's wand," Magnus replied. It was like a huge no-no in his mind. "Let's go get that butterbeer. See ya in the entrance hall."
-Magnus Lee, Ravenclaw.

Chell and Lysandra from Ravenclaw practising Expelliarmus
Lysandra:
It may be that this man doesn´t like to be the center of attention, yet handsome he was, even nowadays.
Lysandra eyeballed the prominent guest speaker like the rest of the class.
Handsome, famous and interesting, what a day!
And the Expelliarmus spell after all, how exciting!
The young half-elf looked around for her friends to find a nice sparring partner which would make the lesson even more fun.

Chell: hell entered the classroom and listened very carefully to Mr. Potter. After all, it was THE Harry Potter! Expelliarmus was such a simple, yet effective spell, and she couldn't wait to start practicing. Once the initial demonstration was over, she looked around the room and spotted her friend Lysandra. "Hello, Lys!" she said enthusiastically, "Would you like to be partners?" she asked, smiling brightly.
Lysandra: "Absolutely!" Lysandra replied, grinning. She waved a red apple around before Chell. "Would you like to have a bite? Go get it!" she encouraged her friend.
Chell: "Sure! I could use a snack," Chell teased. Acting quickly, she pulled out her wand, took aim at the apple in Lys' ) hand, and exclaimed, "Expelliarmus!"

Chell must have fumbled in her haste to surprise her friend, because the spell backfired and sent Chell flying several feet away from her partner. She sat up quickly and brushed herself off - hoping no one had noticed. 'That's going to leave a bruise' she thought. Seeing that the apple remained unmoved in Lys' hand, Chell giggled in embarrassment. "Oops!" she said sheepishly, blushing just as red as the fruit, "That didn't quite go as planned..."
Chell held her hands open for Lys to toss her the apple, "Your turn!" She cheered.
Lysandra: Giggling, Lysandra tossed the apple over to Chell. „Too bad we can´t do it like Wilhelm Tell!“ she exclaimed, „shooting the apple off the head in a single attempt!“ Would be fitting, Lys thought, Tell also sparked a rebellion like Dumbledore´s Army….
Concentrate! she reminded herself, looking around if their exhilaration had gone unnoticed, yet all students seem to be engrossed in either making a good impression or putting on airs in the presence of famous Mister Harry James Potter.
Lysandra pointed her wand in the direction of the the apple in Chell´s hand and noticed that her friend had taken a bite meanwhile, in the shape of a heart. How did she do that, the young witch wondered, and so quickly?
Slightly distracted, she shook her head and tried to utter a determined and clear „Expelliarmus“ yet somehow only a croak came out and her wand showered a bickering golden light which came out slowly and faltering.
Blushing like her friend before, Lysandra came down to earth. That won´t quite cut it, she thought.
Chell: "Hmm...," Chell pondered out loud, "Maybe it's the apple that's interfering with the spell," she took two more bites, turning the heart into a simple clover, then placed it next to her bag.
"Let's try this instead, Lys!" Chell beamed. She stood in her best duel-position and held her wand in front of her like Mr. Potter had demonstrated, "Give it your best shot! Knock my wand out of my hand!" She was suddenly very nervous, but hid it well and smiled encouragingly to Lysandra.
Lysandra: Determined and holding her stance, Lysandra eyed Chell´s beautiful holly wood wand and extended her own wand in the direction of her friend. „Exp……“ she began yet then, a smell like burning hair reached her nostrils and she had to sneeze.
She wondered if one of her classmates had scorched the inner core of a wand by chance during their attempt. Intent on doing the charm right this time yet slightly distracted, Lys exclaimed „Explaudarmus!“ and instantly realized she had failed again.
Chell´s wand made some wiggling movements, then there was a loud clapping to hear which muted down to a silent cackle after some painful seconds. Finally, some orange sprinkles flew out of her wand when the noise had died down and the wand pointed downwards which looked kind of sad.
Embarassed, Lysandra was knocked out of the skies, blushing a deep red. „Chell, your turn!“ she offered, „I am sure you´ll do better! Charms is your favorite class after all!“ Lys encouraged.
Chell: "Bless you, Lys!" Chell smiled and retrieved a tissue from her bag and offered it to her friend.
After a small break, she took a deep breath to re-focus herself, Okay! This time, for real, you can do this! she silently told herself. She centered herself and held out her wand, "Expelliarmus!" she said confidently as she gave her wand a solid swish and flick. Just as the last syllable came from her mouth, Lysandra's English Oak wand wiggled for a moment then leaped from her hand.
Chell couldn't believe it, "Oh!" she gasped in surprise. I did it! she cheered internally, Did Mr. Potter see that? she hoped.
She ran over and picked up Lys' wand and returned it to its rightful owner, "Here you go. Your turn! You can do it!" she beamed as she returned to her spot opposite her friend and stood, ready for the charm.
Lysandra: Lysandra was hopeful and the cheering of Chell helped, too. She did all the things right this time, "Expelliarmus" came out clear and loud and Chell´s wand flew in Lys` direction. Lys beamed at her friend, relieved. Nobody important besides themselves had seen the improvement, Professor Valdez and Mister Potter seemed engrossed in an interesting conversation and all their classmates trained. The main point was to feel elated after a well done exercise, Lysandra pondered. "Shall we try it again?" she asked Chell "or are we going to take five?" "I think we earned it!" the young witch added, smiling.
Chell: "Yes! Terrific job Lys!" Chell clapped in excitement. "A snack break sounds about right!" she joked, tossing the apple from before up and down in her hand.
Lysandra: "One cannot think well and work well if one has not dined well, they say!" Lysandra laughed. "Let´s go!"

( - hoping this is ok to use two of my characters, seeing as I left this to almost the last minute to do, and Niamh is a bit star struck to want to pair up with Mr Potter!)
Niamh spotted Paddy in the corner of the room, looking like she was wanting a partner too. "Care to pair up?" she asked, hoping the werewolf would agree. Waving her wand in what she hoped was the right movement, Niamh said "expelliarmus" while pointing her wand at Paddy's. A small hint of white light flew from Niamh's wand, but stopped as it reached Paddy's hand. Paddy's wand moved ever so slightly, but didn't leave her hand at all. "Try again," Paddy said with a kind smile, "I don't mind being a guinea pig while you practise."
Niamh tried to block out everyone else in the room, and concentrated on Paddy's wand, while waving her own wand and saying "expelliarmus" again. This time, the light appeared stronger, but still white, and Paddy's wand flipped a little more. Paddy loosened her grip on the wand as it moved, so it dropped to the floor. "Knew you could do it," she said with a grin as she picked her wand up again. Pointing her own wand at Niamh's, she concentrated, waved the wand, and non-verbally Disarmed Niamh, whose wand flew out of her hand and landed on the floor a few metres away.
Feeling frustrated that the werewolf was not only able to Disarm her, but had achieved it non-verbally, Niamh quickly retrieved her wand and tried again with a call of "expelliarmus". This time, the light from her wand was a pale shade of red, and Paddy's wand flew from her hand, hit the wall and bounced off. "That's more like it," Niamh said with relief as she waited for Paddy to pick her wand up to try again.
Niamh Doyle, Gryffindor

(I'm fine with that (: Sorry for the late reply, I have a lot going on. :< )
Outfit Not Found Parker sheepishly slipped into class late. Her parents would so not be happy that she was tardy in the presence of Harry Potter. It was kind of worth it though. She was making really good progress communicating with the Giant Squid through the windows in the Slytherin Common Room. "Drat," she muttered eyeing her classmates all in pairs as she listened to the end of his lecture. Elizabeth () was an upperclassman, an experienced dueler, and had been a Triwizard Champion in the most recent Tournament to boot. The Head Girl was not an ideal choice to practice with for a novice like herself, but she knew they worked well together from Muggle Studies and it was pretty clear that she was out of time to find another partner.
"Hello. I know that you're a much better dueler than I am, but will you help me with this lesson?" She lowered her voice. "Sorry I'm late to such an important lecture. I lost track of time and thought it was just going to be another regular day." Elizabeth smiled graciously and gave her a discreet thumbs up.
They faced off and bowed to one another. "ex-PELL-ee-ARE-muss!" Parker shouted with all her courage as she brandished her wand at Elizabeth. A small flash of white light neatly took the wand from Elizabeth's hand. Parker steeled herself as they resumed their places. Elizabeth's Disarming Charm erupted from her wand in a scarlet jet of light, snatching Parker's wand, and knocking her cleanly off her feet. "Wow!" She exclaimed as the older girl gave her a hand up. Elizabeth Covington was undoubtedly one of the most impressive students at Hogwarts. It wasn't everyday that she was knocked on her bottom by the Head Girl in front of Harry Potter.
