I don't have a hero like that. I personally believe that ordinary people are heroes at any given time. Certainly aurors who work so hard to help keep our world safe are heroes. As are the witches and wizards who work at Saint Mungo's. They saved my life when I was attacked by a werewolf at nine--as did the auror who found me. Yet, if I must single out one person, I would choose Albus Dumbledore. Dumbledore was an incredible wizard who not only found the 12 uses for dragon's blood, and was a Hogwarts Headmaster--but he fought against one of the most powerful dark wizards of all time. His courage helped inspire the famous Harry Potter and Dumbledore was lost to the world battling against the dark forces and helped to protect lives in the process. ((He is meaning because Snape killed him to help save Draco's soul/life on the behest of Dumbledore himself.)) He was determined, kind, smart, courageous and giving. These are the traits which I admire in just about anyone.

I've chosen to honor a hero who was all but forgotten, and I've chosen her for two reasons. The first is that she was a brave witch who faced dangers to save others. The second is because she did this when she herself was likely put down by those around her on a frequent basis. This is the unnamed witch who banished the Bandon Banshee. Gilderoy Lockhart deemed this witch to be too 'unattractive' for fame because she did not fit the standard social mold of 'beauty.' Knowing society, there must have been others who shared his views yet she didn't let this stop her and even sought to fight for the lives of others. This shows a strength of character that is hard to match.
NOTE: Original versions of the Chamber of Secrets text refer to her as 'having a harelip.' This was later deemed insensitive and changed to 'having a hairy chin.' I have included both in my reference and firmly believe that people are born with or acquire various physical traits throughout their lives and that all have beauty. I mean no insensitivity but rather wish to promote the beauty of all people.

As an aspiring magical artist, I chose Magenta Comstock as my hero. She was an experimental magical artist who painted portraits. Her portraits would stare so intensely, that their eyes would actually follow the viewers home! While I wouldn't aspire to do anything so... creepy with my work, I do admire her ability to think outside the norms of magical painting.
I apologize for the super late reminder (I had some hard personal stuff going on and it slipped my mind), but you have until 11:59pm Subeta time to turn this in. :-)

Professor Snape is not only one of the greatest Slytherin of all time, but my personal hero. He has been since I first heard stories of Harry Potter and the Second Wizarding War. This man had the ability to fool Voldemort!! Yet he never sought praise, fame, or to be the center of attention. He worked for good in secret and didn’t care if everyone thought of him as evil. He saw it as justice since he had joined the Dark Lord by choice. Now he could combat the evil he’d willingly gone to by willingly giving his life to serve the light and honor Lily’s memory…a memory and love that would forever endure. His life was a series of choices, some good, some bad, but all designed to make him the hero he became.
He was a comforter and protector – he was there to help comfort Lily when they were children and later he gave protection to not only Harry, but Draco as well, going so far as to take the Unbreakable vow in order to care for one of his Slytherins.
He only harmed those who were evil. Though tormented by the Marauders, he never actually tried to hurt them in retaliation. When Minerva attacked him, he didn’t fight back…he simply blocked the spells and defended himself. The only time he actively harmed a member of the light was in killing Dumbledore and that was only because he was ordered to do so, not by choice. This action proves his desire to protect, not himself but others, as Draco was protected through Dumbledore’s death and Snape was seen by Voldemort as even more trustworthy.
His life took true courage. Only the bravest of men could go through what Snape did. He showed the wizarding world what it is to be faithful, true, brave, and cunning and to love deeply. I’m proud to say my hero is Severus Snape.

My hero is Falco Aesalon, because he was the first recorded Animagus. He may have even been the first one to discover the the process of becoming an Animagus, though this is unknown. He lived in Ancient Greece, and his Animagus form was a falcon. I admire him because I wish to one day learn how to become an Animagus, and because, just like many other Greeks of his time, he recognized the importance of keeping records. Without people like him, we wouldn't have the privilege of knowing our history. Private Outfit Kiara, Ravenclaw
