Oh hey I am glad you are inspired to work on a TC. It's a great name at that too. Here are some items that would be comforting to me.
Personal comfort go-to items for me include food, snuggly sweaters/cuddly pets and LOTS of plushies =D
+ OR ...there's very little inbetween the two extremes XD

Find me on Bluesky: <3
Except for the wings and the missing little t-shirt it reminds me of my irl hippo plush that I just NEED to fall asleep. (And I cuddle it whenever I feel bad)
(The sticker is only because there is no real "milk and cookies" Item as far as I remember.
For me my favourite comfort food is: macaroni cheese, banana bread, cheese fondue, pumpkin soup, tomato soup, mochi (daifuku), tea and bubble tea. && I also like fish pie and Welsh Rarebit (which is a posh saucy cheese on toast) but there are no items that best represent those yet.
As for comfort items, I usually cuddle with soft toys or teddy bears. Some of which resemble these:
well personally i have a huge sweet tooth so a lot of these are my go-tos when i'm feeling stressed or upset.
chocolate ice cream is my most frequent and beloved companion. there's this diner near me and the food isn't that good anymore but their milkshakes are still awesome - too expensive though, so i only go when they're half off! when i was younger and would get really depressed my mom would sometimes make me a strawberry smoothie, so that's what those mean to me. also the occasional late night when my sister and i order insomnia cookies because those are so nice and warm... and my sister is really good at making muffins so i always love when we make those!
and as for non-food items...
i still have a stuffed lamb from when i was a baby, his name is timothy and i love him very much and he sleeps in my bed with me. when i was little i found a tiny snail shell (no snail inside) at the beach and for a while i would carry it with me wherever i went; it was like a comfort item, until one day i was bathing with it and i dropped it down the drain and lost it forever. and of course nothing compares to snuggling with a warm puppy when you're feeling down. the purrito works both as a kitten (which i also love snuggling) and as the feeling of being all wrapped up in a blanket!
My comfort food is and and
pretty much anything pumpkin really. Pumpkin muffins, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin bread, etc
My comfort food is: and
And now I'm hungry xD
Everyone who knows me knows how much I love thylacines. I have many stuffed thylacines that I have collected over the years (they are hard to find, but if they exist I will find them). But my oldest one, Tessa, came from Build-A-Bear and her stripes have almost worn completely off because I sleep with her every night. I debate putting her stripes back on with fabric paint or a sharpie, but she's kind of on the way to becoming Real as well (if you know what I mean), so I'd want to do it in a way that didn't interfere with that process.
I also love fossas. I do not unfortunately have a plush fossa (they're actually rarer than plush thylacines, which freaks me out because we still have fossas, but thylacines are believed to be extinct; though people do still see them, they never catch them or find hard evidence).
But on Subeta I have a plush fossa, who thinks he's a hipster, LOL.
My favourite comfort foods are butter pecan ice cream, which doesn't seem to exist on Subeta, and vanilla, strawberry, or tea-flavoured cakes, which are hard to find because I have celiac disease and cannot eat gluten.
One of the best birthday cakes I ever had was white chocolate and strawberry.
Most gluten-free goodies rely on regular chocolate a lot--but I'm not all that crazy about chocolate. Except for red velvet cakes.
Also, tea. Either black tea, usually Yorkshire Gold but PG Tips or plain Yorkshire Tea will do, also I sometimes get the Taylor's of Harrowgate China Rose Petal tea. For green tea, I like jasmine tea or Adagio's Tea(se).
Finally, one of the best comfort foods for me is a rare steak. Put spinach in the pan and deglaze the steak juice with wine or whiskey for a healthy side. So good!

I have a giant stuffed dolphin plush my grandmother gave me when I was two, he hasn't left my bed since, even when I went to college.
For comfort food I have a unique one. My mom makes something called chili pie, which is corn chips topped with chili, sour cream, and cheese. I guess a good on-site representation would be , but we use Fritos and shredded cheese, not nacho cheese, but that's still pretty darn close lol
Also, feel free to reference me (:
