what did you do to get him to challenge you? I went to the basement, played the game, went to the crypt, investigated the throne and the crystals. Nada.

LOTS! I had the same "trouble" as you. I was zapping and getting great ones! I like them all so much the way they are, I started zapping ones I liked.
