I do kinda wish I'd watched the first one again first but eh. It was good.

It's always tempting to have a marathon before new ones.

Technically this one comes after the original one. They're basically pretending everything after the first one didn't happen.

Oh whaaat, that's a lot of stuff to just erase. o-o

Carpenter never even wanted to make the second part. And he pretty much hates all of the rest of them. His vision for Michael was never some paranormal, unkillable entity. So I get why he's like - it's the first one, and then it's this one, 40 years later.

Although all of them leave out the most fundamental error: how the hell does he know how to drive? He kills his sister and goes to a mental institution at the age of 6. He stays there until he breaks out however many years later on Halloween. But he can and does drive. He was 6, he never learned. And then he goes back in for 40 years.

Oooh, I get that then.

That is proof it's always been a paranormal movie.
