I was in the emergency room most of yesterday and saw a specialist at the hospital today. I'll get better but I'm dealing with severe fatigue due to difficulty breathing.
I could use your
No problem! Sent it over!
GUYS. I got a surprise of an extra $300 or so on my paycheque. Apparently, it's vacation pay, which I'm supposed to get at the beginning of the year, but I guess I was still technically on leave for school. Our bookkeeper recently put me back in, so I guess I get the money now. :o
jammy expletive XD
I suppose it must be pay-in-lieu for unclaimed holiday time, if it pays out yearly..?
Is it common for Tempest to want to play 3 times in a day? Once with her dropping a storm potion in my lap?
Because I'm cool with this lol. I haven't seen Tempest in months.

It isn't common for me to see Tempest 3 times in a day. i can't remember when i saw her last.
I get vacation if I want it and vacation pay (which pays out yearly). Whether I take the vacation or not doesn't effect my vacation pay. I just don't usually take vacations because I can't afford to have that much time off in the middle of year. :c I've been there for six years (my first job before going to school) and I took vacation one time and only because I had a friend coming from Texas to Canada for a week.
: That seems quite sensible. ( <-- they print this on postcards of Canada, right?)
Do you have any wild plans for your Government Mandated Windfall?
I bought some CSC but I'm going to get a tablet to play some games that I can't fit on my phone.
It was way too hot for me to walk half an hour to work today. .-.
So it kind of feels like my extended family doesn't care at all that I have a university degree. Just my Grandma and one of my aunts. This while noting that I'm actually the first one to graduate from a university in my family.
And surprise, the aunt who delayed in getting me back to school is the one who's being a snooty, uptight walnut about it as my mom was doing her a favour.
Sure makes me want to go the upcoming baby shower.
Maybe they're jealous of your accomplishment.. Be proud of what you accomplished and don't let them get you down.
Pops in :)
I read a post mentioning Mon on Subeta it rains so higher chance of getting her but it's super rare I get her, never 3 times, congrats :)
unexpected money always good ^^ Being the 1st grandkid (dad's side) & 1st in the family (mom's side) to have a university degree I hear ya. However, at the same time, I don't let it define who I am... it means one acquired some knowledge in a certain way but it doesn't make one a know-it-all and one can gain knowledge in a variety of ways. Theory & practice aren't the same. Anyone behaving like they are superior can be a pain... just cuz ya have a degree doesn't mean you can do xyz. Yes, a lot of effort and time went into getting a degree and that shouldn't be overlooked but it's just a starting point to discovering even more ;) Some family members can be intimidated, others jealous, and others are worried they'll be snubbed. Show them that you're the same person, good values and all and some will eventually let their guard down whereas others it's not a big deal for them... but it's your life, your accomplishment and don't let anyone's attitude diminish your experience of obtaining a degree. It took a lot of perserverience to get it. Hug
They weird thing was that this aunt attended my going away party when I first got into university, so it hurts that she wanted this party cancelled so badly. And we did cancel it, since we weren't going to spend time and money on something people weren't going to attend. As irrational as it may be, it almost feels like she expected me to fail.
I was just really looking forward to having a casual celebration with family but if they don't want to, then whatever.
Don't let her issues become yours. Can't change others, just how you react to them. Do a celebration but lower key with those that want to, be it close family, friends, classmates. I've celebrated my birthday on my own or just with my parents many times. Just because friends/family/etc can't join in doesn't mean you can't do something for yourself. Eat some nice food, do a fun activity, take time to reflect on your accomplishment and to congratulate yourself... no one has to be there except the one that matters most, and that's yourself ;)
