My parents always said no to me every time I asked for things growing up, so I kind of have this mindset of not buying/keeping things in the first place unless they have a practical use :P But it's also okay to indulge a bit in things like bath and beauty if they make you happy; self care is important :)

That's interesting, though understandable. There was a study that concluded people who had gone through, or had parents that went through, the Great Depression were more likely to become hoarders. I think that's in the same vein of having to go without and then becoming very attached to anything you do have.

, I can see that. My Grandpa Arnie kept every newspaper for an entire year, in particular. After the year was up, he would toss them, and start anew. He even made himself newspaper holder for by his dining room cabinet. He also made sure that anything we could have possibly wanted to eat, we had lol. He made the best damn corn fritters I've ever known.

My grandpa kept them all period. He stacked them all in his office, and then they were put into tubs and put into the garage when my mom told on him. His newspaper stack totally threatened to fall on him. :s

Yeah, I mean, this is the second time in 11 years on site. So, not exactly common. The first was an effort I put on for my birthday. Basically, the day before my birthday, I hosted a contest where I gave out tiered rewards for putting my name on a mega ticket. Naturally, I had pretty great odds after that, and was able to wake up on my bday with a new potion and achievement. (And having my cake icon displayed on the news page.) Otherwise- yeah, just drop 100 mega tickets to get the tiers, and you'll have pretty reasonable odds.

that get's pretty expensive (i'm saving up to get the richest user archievment) but when you try to win again tell me, i will make sure to buy some tickets for you ^^
