Neele is a brown-tabby classic Norwegian Forestcat and her Scandinavian name means "the radiant one".

We call her Mausi, too, because in Hopi, it means "she who plucks flowers" and she loved to do it when she was young. When she got older, she lost interest in flowers yet collected mice. Mausi means mouse in German so we stuck to the name. Stay assured, she never harmed a mouse, though. She wanted them for cuddling. Really! We had all ages of mice in the house and I had an emergency set for catching them at the ready all the time. We always brought them back to their family and in the end, we adopted another small kitten yet Neele didn't like it very much. That's life, unpredictable, LOL. She was more into older cats, we know that now in the long run, she adored her grandpa and always was glued to him. We all miss him very much, his name was Little Tiger yet we called him Teddy. He lived up to 19 and we totally see Neele go strong until then, too.

A little bit about her character: Neele is a "real" cat, strongheaded, talkative, a little bit jelous, cuddly and very lovely ...... when it comes to humans. Only her head-butting with the power of a dredger comes not always in handy when you try to drink some water or have a sharp item in your hand........ She can make a lot of noise when she is gruntled yet she never harmed somebody. My vet is afraid of her sometimes, though, LOL. She outlived all our other Norwegian Forestcats and nowadays, she lives with three Balineses, thinking they are Aliens. They behave so different, she clearly thinks they are not cats. Which is right in some ways, LOL. So she is treating them like dogs. Which means she has no interest in them at all most of the time. Yet sometimes, we see her watching the Balineses antics, in secret, and looking amused. :-)
