So, weird new issue today (and also an old issue I keep forgetting to mention that started awhile back):

After I use an item, I get this weird blocking....idk what that is beneath the item. It extends to the 'end' of the page (however long my page is depending upon the number of events I still have). This is also happening when moving items from my vault (after being directed to the enter pin page). I'm not sure where else it may happen.

ALSO - I keep forgetting to bring this up, but on the used item page, I cannot delete/remove sidebar events. It started with the last update to the site. Clicking the delete buttons does nothing. I have to navigate away from the page to make it work again (it is functional up until I 'use' the item: ie: read to pet, feed to pet, add to wardrobe).

I just edited to note it happened in my vault when I was directed to the page to enter my pin, which leads me to believe it's probably any page where the content section is shorter than the events bar requires.

I don't know about other layouts. If you give me a few minutes I can test them all.

Ah okay, let me know if it happens on other layouts then. I know the Morostide theme is known to be inconsistent with the others. For instance here's another report of an inconsistency So there&;s this... small problem.

We do have plans to address that though :)

So it looks like it's only affecting 2 of the hidden themes (I don't have any additional hidden themes, not even sure if there are others haha).

Wow LOL my Pets all suffer from different Profile problems (some only have their content moved to the left side and only need repositioning, others are a complete mess xD), time to just remove all the codes and try to fix them one after another. I'm glad I never really invested sP/csc in Profiles, I'd be so annoyed now. xD

But I might wait with fixing stuff, don't want to be done with them and then another layout change pops up haha.

So I have a proper question. If I spend the time fixing my css to make this site look how I want it to look yet Once again, how long till ya'll decide to "improve" the cosmetics of this site to where I Once again have to spend time fixing my css to make it the way I had it?

Just to spell it out for the people (aka me) who don't speak "code" at all: am I correct in understanding that the layout changes are done, except for the dropdown navigations and mobile? Because a lot of pages look like the one below to me. Blank background on the right (behind the bookmarks), and weird background with black vertical lines at the bottom. Is it for everyone like that, or just me? Or is that still in the works to get fixed?

But, I wanted to at least toss this idea out there because I know I would appreciate it and I'm sure other pet individuals would.

I understand staff are trying to come up with the best solution to this sort of issue but I'm going to toss out my idea. From what little talk I've done with I also know this would be a large undertaking, but -

Would you perhaps consider changing pet profiles first, or at least more of a priority? Before continuing to make changes to the site as a whole that will continue to effect pet profiles.

Honestly, once pet profiles are set up similarly to user profiles with their own "blank slate", half the issues (or more?) users seem to have with site changes would no longer be an issue. And wouldn't have to spend so much time trying to find small fixes for so many small little problems.

oh yes please, what said. i can't tell you how frustrating it is to spend hours and hours making pet profiles, only for the site to push a change that breaks them and requires more work on my end. it seems like almost every month, i'm having to make changes to my pets' profiles because of a code change sitewide; and with over 60 pets, it's an undertaking that i just get finished...and then another change is pushed. a "blank slate" idea for pet profiles would be wonderful; it would be so nice to make a profile once and have that be the end of tinkering with it.

I want to third ’s suggestion. As someone who isn’t very familiar with code, it’s also a bit overwhelming for me to try to figure out and understand what’s going on code-wise. People have been very helpful with sharing codes that have solved the problem, but I had put off trying to fix my profiles for a while. It can be discouraging & makes me hesitant to work on more pets. If we had the blank slate option available, it would really help & hopefully mean less issues with every layout change.

That's because of an issue with that specific site theme. For some reason, the Luminaire and Morostide site themes have some slightly different coding than the other themes which results in strange things like that sometimes, only on those two themes and not the others.

I think is going to be working on fixing some of that soon-ish, but yeah they are aware of that issue at least.

Thanks for clearing that up! I only use the Luminaire theme all year round, so that's why I didn't notice it coming from the theme itself.

Oh, yes, please fix pet profiles. ;; Mine are all messed up now and I don't exactly know how to fix them.. so if priority could be put on fixing them/making them work the way they did before, or just something, that'd be really wonderful.

Especially since I don't even know what is causing problems now.

I'd love it too if the moving pet profiles thing could be made more of a priority. I have no idea what's involved with that but I think it would really help people (especially those with a LOT of pets) to make one huge change and be done with it rather them stressing over little fixes and then have to redo their profiles eventually anyway.
