yea I get that, and the thought that would kind of solve it would be to implement a feature to toggle on/off item animations on the site. That might also work well for users who have limited internet connection (me included) and item images take up SO MUCH data usage that I prefer not even accessing subeta while on mobile data. This is important to be addressed because not everything acts as a trigger for everyone, and this kind of lights up the discussion of the fact that content-wise this might be prejudicial. But IMO we lived this far without the flickering light so I think we would do fine without it, but even better: with an option to toggle animations whatsoever.
I'm not gonna lie: sometimes I get my anxiety triggered while on the forums because ome CWs have animated CIs and it's hard to spot for me but I know something is moving and often I play subeta in the dark so I get that "something is MOVING SOMEWHERE" and anxiety does its job well. I would totally use that function if it's possible to be implemented.
