Me & Dad went to work on the allotment yesterday afternoon - I wanted to get some compost out of the bin, so I asked for his help as there was a layer of sticks that hadn't rotted down, which was stopping me from getting to the compost underneath. He reckoned if he saw a slow-worm (we know they're in the compost bins), he'd scream.... he didn't spot a slow-worm, but he did find a mouse which he had to coax out of the bin 😇 I don't think the mouse was too impressed at having his snooze interrupted! :P

Making good progress there. :D Heading out for a walk a bit later, other than that. Not much happening. lol Progress on the shopping net has been slow, since I have frogged it a few times to get it right. lol

nods I made a thread a month or three ago (edit: that was actually April when I made the thread - I didn't realise it was that long ago!) - most people seemed in favour of it being updated, so I'm hoping it'll get a bit of an adjustment! ;)

This is a really random update: Well, I have found the crochet and knitting needles/hooks. I realized I don't have any yard though so I can't start anything even if I actually knew how to use the tools. My mom said she knows someone who might be able to show me how since I can't figure it out from reading tutorials or books. I don't know why but I am just not that good at grasping things like that from tutorials. I am trying to learn a few new embroidery stitches and the blanket stitch is eluding me from the tutorials. Luckily my mom said she remembers how to do it and will show me. It's probably similar to the stitch I use to seal pillows and toys but to me they look different. lol I am currently working on a design for my sister and am almost done with it. Next I am going to do one for my other sister (for Christmas). I love your spooky moon faced HA ! Also thank you for the compliment!

I totally agree about the hexes being too cool for a once a year thing. I do wish we could somehow have them as skins (or some of them). Also, I love your sweet HA!

There's quite a lot of videos on youTube that I found useful - the Knit Witch (link to her blog)was the one I used the most, as that one has pretty good camera angles ;)

I think the last time I tried doing blanket stitch, I just made it up as I went along.... I'm sure it wasn't actually the blanket stitch I was doing :P
