Name: Euphrasie "Effy" Aveline Bertrand. Age: 16. Hobbies: Reading, writing, sketching, painting, gardening, ballet. Ambitions: To do well and learn as much as I can; continue to improve my Occlumency skill.

1.Where would you go on an ideal vacation? Florence, to admire the art and architecture and soak up the history. I love old cities, they have so many tales to tell. 2. What fictional character would you want to date? Mr. Darcy. There's just something about the aloof, complicated romantic hero archetype, I suppose. 3. How do you like your eggs in the morning? Scrambled, please, with a dash of pepper and pinch of salt. Toast and tea would also be appreciated. 4. Who is your closest family relationship with? My parents are utterly lovely, very supportive of my choices, and they both offer a unique point of view into the world of magic, being of different nationalities and differing backgrounds. But I think I'm closest to my younger sister, Elodie. She's nine and really looks up to me. I try my best to be a good role model and older sister to her. She's wonderful. 5. Your home, containing everything you own, catches fire. After saving your loved ones and pets, you have time to safely make a final dash to save any one item. What would it be? My antique book of fairytales. It's Victorian era and has the most beautiful watercolour and ink illustrations. I've had it since I was a baby; it's got a lot of sentimental value to me. 7. What is one trait that you find attractive in others? Intelligence, always. 8. What is the accomplishment that makes you proudest in your life thus far? A few. Being a good older sister to Elodie. Having a few of my sketches accepted into an exhibition an art gallery in my hometown put on. The first time I summoned a Patronus. 9. What would be your theme song for a slow dance with a partner? My choices change constantly, but right this second? Bon Iver's "Skinny Love" or Beck's "Blackbird Chain" 10. What is your ideal Valentine’s Day date and/or gift? An interesting book I have yet to read. And chocolate wouldn't be remiss. :)

1. Where would you go on an ideal vacation? My ideal vacation would be a tie between two vastly different places. I would love to go to a remote castle in Ireland and explore the surrounding countryside, but I also would like to spend a month at Disney World.
2. What fictional character would you want to date? Hmm, this is a tough one. Several have really interesting and good qualities and I’d like to meet them, but for a date I think I’d have to go with Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice.
3. How do you like your eggs in the morning? Scrambled or omelet…throw in a little cheese and you have me!
4. Who is your closest family relationship with? I’m close to both my parents but my Mum wins out slightly.

My ‘treasure’ box which is a small cedar box that I got for my 9th birthday and holds notes, pressed flowers and leaves, ticket stubs, scraps of fabric, and essentially some of my most treasured memories.
7. What is one trait that you find attractive in others? True kindness, the type you can see in their eyes and their actions, not just lip service.
8. What is the accomplishment that makes you proudest in your life thus far? Being asked to be a Slytherin prefect

10. What is your ideal Valentine’s Day date and/or gift? My ideal date would be a ride through the woods to a waterfall where a blanket and picnic basket would be waiting. After a relaxing picnic where we would talk about books and animals as well as our dreams, we would leave the horses for a bit and walk to a nearby hillside where we would lay in the grass and watch the stars come out. After star-gazing for a bit, we would return to the horses and enjoy a moonlight ride back home.
