Hello! This post is to open Beta Testing for the CW Shops revamp we've been working on. The primary goal of this revamp was to improve the interface and usability. Please read the entire post before checking it out!
This update includes all pages under the /cw_shop.php URL. It does NOT include the pages found under the explore/custom_clothing.php URL. That page is the focus of our next update, and is currently closed off on the beta testing site as it's under active development :)
Behind the scenes, this is done by changing the item amount to -2 which is then treated as a perma-retirement by the system. Your CW Shop will not show this item on the real (non-testing) site either, so don't worry about accidentally putting more copies into your shop this way.
IMPORTANT: Since this currently only exists in Beta Testing, you can "retire" an item using the button, but then change its amount back to a positive number on the real Subeta website. DO NOT ABUSE THIS, you will get in trouble if you are found scamming with this. I know most of you would never dream it, but it needs to be mentioned.
All right, check out the Beta here and let us know what you think! Go ahead and use this topic for feedback and reports.

Nice catch. I think I've fixed it, could you check it now?

Made a fix for blocked users (hopefully) - could you please let me know if it worked? I can't block anyone myself to check
Ooh nice catch. I made a fix, it should just submit the form when you hit enter now, instead of getting intercepted by the retire button.

You can already do that by using the Browse/Search page.

@ Silvanesti Thanks for the report! Am looking into it. You're right, this is totally an issue on our end.
[edit] I think it's been fixed. Could you please try again, if you haven't sent it yet?
Otherwise I guess I could just send my followers a random hello xD

For the follow list, you're right, it does get pretty long if you follow a lot of shops. I've changed it according to 's suggestion so that the feed page just shows links to 15 random shops that you follow. I am working on a "Shops You Follow" page that the feed can link to, where you can see all of them and unfollow them and stuff :)

I made it show just 15 random shops you follow, and there's a little link to a "shops you follow" page where you can see the full list :)
Lemme know what you think!

That is because the shop owner has to enable the alerts first off. Then you have the option to opt in or out of the alerts. If you don't see the button show up at all, that means the shop owner has opted to just not use that feature. In the Manage Shop page there is a checkbox where you can toggle this for your own shop.
As for the random shops, hmm... I could show the most recent 15 that you've followed? I think I'm going to keep it like this for now, and wait for more feedback from more people, before changing it. Personally my worry was that if it was a set order, then some shops would never show up on the feed page.

That's weird, cuz that page is not randomized. To clarify, whenever you refresh that page, the shops show up in a different order for you?

The banner does appear to be staying when a category has no items, example: http://bug2.dev.subeta.net/cw_shop.php/Bug/1219
It looks like the issue is specifically the Unsorted category. I will look into it, thanks for the report!
(Will also look into the checkboxes issue, but it would be helpful if you could include your operating system and screen resolution as well!)

Do you still have the random order issue on this page ?
I've made a fix to the Enable New Item Alerts, and made it more convenient too: now when you check or uncheck the box, it automatically saves it, so you don't even have to submit the form. A little message that says "Saved!" will show up next to the box if it works. Check it out here!
I've tweaked the layout so that it works a bit better. But on smaller widths, it's inevitable that the radio button and input field will wrap to different rows, because there's not enough space. It should work better now on most full screen resolutions, but this is the best we can do for now.
I did fix the shop description though, it should show up correctly now regardless of how many items are in the category :)
