I get homesick unless I'm in Vallarta...then I'm 'really' home and I could just stay forever.

Staycations can be fun, and as we are just finishing a kitchen remodel, that is all that is possible. We won't even be heading down the shore this summer, but in the long run, it is a win.

I usually do, too, but I've been going to Vallarta for nearly 40 years so it really does feel like home. I have routines there, places I always go, people I always visit, and it changes less than where I live now which is becoming suddenly trendy (shudders) So the homesickness never really kicks in when I'm there.

My day was pretty good. Got off early so I could go to the bank and then picked up a few funko pops. Waiting at walmart now though for prescriptions ugh what all did you do today?

The kitchen remodel will be great when it's done, but that's likely to be another month of no kitchen sink, so it is still a bit glum here...but soon. And considering we had to do actual structural repair, it is going well, I'm just over it now. The soffits are being built this weekend.

The grit I love is being replaced by hipsters and our property taxes keep going up up up...soon we won't be able to afford to live here at all.
