BTW, something that might make it easier to prevent multiple pings is to add a /or a space between the # and the rest of the ping group name when you edit your post on your phone. Only do this for ping groups that you DO NOT want to ping at that time. If you need to ping that group again, just edit the post again and remove the / or delete the space. I hope that helps! I know how hard it is to deal with that tiny phone screen!

, its been a week since I last pinged customwear! I thought I was being careful. Man I hate this! So many rules! s1igh I promise to be more careful next time.

You’re seriously pinging non stop for the same shoes... maybe just take the hint you’re not gonna get anymore slotters? Because I know I’m not the only one ready to snap over the repeated pings for these shoes. Some items just don’t fill. All you’re doing is making people less and less likely to slot on ANY of your items with this behaviour.

You were already told you’re not supposed to ping customwear for the same item before two weeks have passed... its on the previous page on this board.

Hi, I posted to tell you that you were going against the rules for the customwear group on the 12th. That was barely 6 days ago, so it hasn't even been a week yet, let alone the 2 weeks that I told you about.

The reason why people have been so irritated with you is that you have been told multiple times, not just on this board, but also when your username was still arwen_undomiel and loki_laufeyson on how to ping this group. Rules are put forth for a reason, and it's really not a long list of rules. There's only a total of 6 rather easily followed and straightforward rules that listed out.

I also warned you that multiple pings would annoy people and cause them to ignore your pings, therefore dissuading any potential buyers. Keep in mind that you are pinging groups with 600+ members. You also ping several groups at the same time sometimes, and many people are in those same groups, so they get multiple pings from you in one day.

Please keep in mind that this isn't meant to hurt you, but to help you understand that people don't appreciate constant and needless reminders and will easily become annoyed and either block you or ignore future pings.

I'm so sorry. I'll retire the shoes and take a break. I can't bust out cw's like everyone else so the cw i did pay all my weekly monies on, I try to sell. And it feels like a big failure when I can't sell that one cw. I don't mean to annoy and irritate, honest. It's hard to keep up with all of you, and I want to participate too. I enjoy it when I'm successful with a cw I commissioned. What I wish for is apprenticeships. Training lessons, something that teaches you how to be a seasoned cw maker or commissioner.
Sorry, I rambled. Again, I will retire the shoes and take a break. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience I caused.

There are quite a few well-written guides in the CW Discussion Forum that people use when they first start up their shop.

This one, for instance, is a great guide on how to advertise and how to ping. spent a considerable amount of time to write out a well-detailed and understandable guide on how to create a successful CW shop just to help other users.

People normally just ask around and look at examples of other successful users to see what the current trend is and how to sell CWs. Nobody was trained on how to run a CWshop, they just learn as they go along. If you've been in the CW community for several years as you've stated in your post in the discussion thread, then you should have some idea on how to run a shop without aggravating a large portion of your target audience via multiple pings that clutter up their event space.

you're talking to someone that has a bit of brain damage due to severe car accidents. I am unable to think in the fly, make snap decisions, remember things, concentrate very well, follow through with things such as directions and instructions. Because of the accidents, I have a mass growing on my pituitary gland. Serious as a heart attack.

So this is why I still behave as a newbie even tho I've been here for several years. :)

Sorry to hear that. Anyways, if you're having trouble remembering, maybe consider either submitting straight to shop (which is a faster route) or asking a friend to co-manage a CW shop? Whenever I have trouble remembering something, I typically write it down on a sticky note and place it on my computer monitor.

I appreciate your suggestions. But I've printed out all the info I could get from the main and discussion cw forums, even printed out the graphics for drawing.... I plan on reaching down into my safekeeping box and pull out my art skills and learn how to make my own. But won't be until nov or dec till I get my tablet.

So although I frown on the hostility shown to me here from some, I will make sure that I don't repeat the mistakes when I come back. And thank you to those whom have privately expressed their kind words to me in regards to the hostility. I'm not naming names, you know who you are. To the some, I forgive you, and thats all that matters. <3 <3
