I'd much prefer the Free Shop myself, instead of the forum gift boxes.

I am freaking drowning in fairies as it is (I have gotten a fairy, forum point & a box for one post though so it isn't one or the other!) and wish that the achievement had been freaking expanded... I have been capped on those for YEARS and the abundance of fairies when it means nothing to me is annoying to say the least. At this point I am just shoving them in the holiday shop until the new year because I know damn well if I frag them something will come out and I'll be pissed off even more.

I'd much rather the Free Shop as a means to get an item. I am a forum chatterer, but even then the RNG leaves it up to chance and the 3 or 4 boxes I have gotten had crud in them anyways. :/

... Is the free shop being replaced for these boxes? That's unfortunate because 95% of them contain junk and the amount of spamming required to get one is a bit much.

Oh I hope the boxes aren't replacing the free shop...I have always enjoyed the free shop, even when I haven't gotten anything amazing

The Free Shop isn't being replaced by the boxes as far as I know, people are just saying they would prefer having the Free Shop open for a bit longer instead of doing the forum boxes along with it.

I haven't been keeping track really, but I don't think I've gotten too many boxes so far anyway. And I've been getting mostly junk stuff as well, except for 1 retired SubQ item.

No problem! I know I've seen mention stuff about putting certain things in the Free Shop when it opens, so I'm like 99% sure it's still happening at some point (maybe just a bit late this year IDK).

I feel as if I have gotten enough fairies as well (though probably not at the amount you have). I'm not going for the achievement so the only thing I would do with these fairies is place them in a pet TC. I'm also starting to not care about the boxes. I'm terrible with RNG already and my interest is limited to cool BGs or clothing, angel potions, CSC, or WL items for a pet TC. Anything else and I just place it in my vault. I don't mean to complain but I've never been as interested in collection achievements as other users.

I can't say I'm much of a fan of how it's done this year. I feel like they were more common last year and with how uncommon they feel this year, with the "substantial" algorithms, it feels like a let down most of the time when you finally get a box, open it, and it's something you already have/have no use for.

I have gotten 8 fairies this morning and nothing else... it is nearly a fairy per post and this is freaking overkill. Is someone playing a trick on me because I posted here that I am drowning in them and don't need them?! :P

I have gotten a decent amount of boxes, but I am quickly running out places to post.

Yesterday I posted 13 times, all "meaningfull" posts, no spam at all, and got 0 boxes. I think the ones not spamming are the greatest "victims" in all this. I think I got maybe 4 or 5 boxes in total.

I'm not much of a forum person but I kinda like the forum box idea. It might get some people into being more interactive?

I find it difficult to see you have to post something that they deem is meaningful. I just don't like typing very long posts in general. So how would you know if i said something meaningful or not?

I think the rate is fine as it is now especially since people can post relatively over and over again on the lumi gift box thread to get boxes.

I love the boxes, there's a sense of accomplishment from getting them that isn't the same as the free shop.
