I will giving to my dad mug for Christmas as he will like it.
I think the best gift I received was a signed Derek Jeter baseball when I was 12 or 13.
The best gift I've given was a little statue memorial of my dad's dog, Cody, who passed away.

Best gift I have received was the news it was not skin cancer.

The best gift i've given was a 80mil item I feel so generous but so broke at the same time, but the friend who will receive it deserves it.
My partner asked me to marry him on December 25th, 2012. That was the best gift I ever got :)
The best gift I've ever given was probably... this year, I spent an entire week making a hand-made little groot figure as a gift for someone.. I made it out of clay, carved and painted it myself ^^
Best gift I've ever received was from Santa when I was 6 - A Fisher Price kitchen set. It was the most magical moment!
Best got: my QPP got us matching silver-and-jet pendants while in Spain, so that we could make necklaces from them ourselves.
Best given (well, for this year): I got my mom a birding book specific to the area of Canada where she's going to be living for the next few months while my dad does a fulbright. She loves birdwatching.
they/them/theirs, please.
My favorite gift was the time my mom, who was broke as hell, drove my brother and I down to TN to see my father after he was in a horrific car accident while he was down there visiting his other daughters. She told us she would take us down there but that she then wouldn't have enough money for Christmas presents, and we of course were perfectly fine with that. At the time we didn't think he would pull through, so it was more important to us to see our father than get stupid gifts (and we were in our upper teens). Thankfully, he did pull through.
i got a snuggie this year and honestly i shouldn't have been as happy as i am about it, but it's amazing.
Ohh, I love everything from my mom and boyfriend bc they know me so well ;w; but I’ll go with the cute heart shaped charm necklace from my boyfriend (and cards cards are the best especially with cute notes and drawings).
Given, I personally loved the flowerpot lighthouse I painted for my mom for her garden c:
Haven't celebrated Christmas in 6 years nor gotten gifts so I'll say that having my mom and my brother in health is the best gift I can get. Also, I'm glad to be able to afford small gifts for my mom and my brother again this year.
The best gifts I have ever received are meeting and marrying my husband and having our daughter.
He's spectacular - so loving and caring as well as understanding. And darn good looking!! She's absolutely beautiful and overly amazing. I'm so lucky to have the both of them.

I'm very excited about the gift I received from a White Elephant event this year - the Smitten Kitchen cookbook.

In my family we draw names to exchange handmade gifts. This year I'm giving a Christmas Chunky Junk Journal. Complete with coffee dyed paper, vintage receipts, Santa letters, tags and ephemera. It took me a week to make it, but I'm proud of what I accomplished. I hope they like it!
The best gifts I have been given are my two fur babies Koda and Paddy. I'd be lost without their companionship.
Please do NOT bite!
My daughter, my recent marriage to my Highschool sweetheart (2 1/2 months ago!)
The best gift on Subeta is priceless... at the start of Dec I lost my grandpa. Friends & anonymous provided support and distractions to help me through the tough time. Friendship & kindness go beyond pixels and transform into love... what better gift can one get?
The best gift I've given lately is one of my mom's gifts this year...a stack of Magic Crochet magazines. A few years ago when we moved, she decided she didn't need her collection anymore (we were selling a lot of things before the move) and sold it all, a decision she's regretted ever since. So this year, I decided I'd try and buy as many back for her as I could. I went on ebay and found a dozen of them (before my budget ran out lol) and bought them. They're wrapped under the tree right now and I can't wait for her to open them.
The best gifts I've gotten are by far my kitties, for all that I picked both of them out myself. Zena was my first cat, who I got after begging for a kitty for years. She was the first cat my parents or I had even lived with, so I think she acted more like a dog than a cat, because that's what we were used to. She was a very, very good girl and even though it was around 20 years ago that I lost her, I still miss her every day. Holly was a Christmas gift 11 or so years ago. She was my second cat ever, the skinniest little kitten when I got her. She's the most intelligent animal I've ever had. Hacks up a lot of hairballs, but I love the little booger. I got Emma as a gift a few months after we had to put my first cat, Zena, to sleep due to bone cancer. I was very depressed and wasn't sure I even wanted another cat, even after we brought her home. But that little shit wormed her way right into my heart and I love her so dearly now, I can't imagine life without her.
When I was a kid I really wanted an Atari game system (yeah that was a long time ago) but my parents didn't want to get me one. So Xmas that year was sad. Until later they brought out another box. Yes, they did get me one. I was so excited, I couldn't wait to get to the store to buy game cartridges. :D My parents are gone now but I will always remember that as one of the best Xmases. Since I never got the pony I wanted. ;)

The best gift I ever received was my late dog, Chili. In fact, we adopted her this very day 16 years ago. Although she passed away 4, going on 5 years ago, she will always remain my favorite gift. (Here's her profile, for the curious!)
I have to think about the best gift I've ever given. I've given gifts that people have wanted, but nothing currently really stands out to me as the "best." I'll return if I think of something :)
