Easy. Turkey sandwiches, with cranberry sauce and stuffing. Can't beat it!
Baklava! We always receive a box of it every year. What a treat.
Lefse is a more rare treat, but occasionally we take up the challenge and make some. God, so yummy.
my grandma's homemade mints all you need is cream cheese, powdered sugar, mint extract and some granulated sugar to put in the mint leaf and heart shaped molds so the mixture doesn't stick and get stuck....oh and a fridge of course so the mints get lightly hardened and they stay fresh and cool :)

I love green bean casserole. And Christmas cookies, of course.

Christmas crack! For those who don't know about this... it's toffee and chocolate deliciousness.

With a turkey dinner my favorite is a bite of turkey, dressing and gravy. Then a huge spoonful of mashed potatoes with butter dripping down the pile. For sweets, kolachy made with nuts.

POTATO SALAD.
You guys, I seriously feel bad for anyone who doesn't have proper potato salad for Christmas. Potato salad and fried carp is a Czech thing, and though our family skips the carp part (mainly cause mom hates fish), my mom makes the BEST potato salad EVER. It could cure illnesses.

I'm not one for traditional food and such. We usually cook meat pie, chocolate cake, potatoes and such together. Nothing fancy.
My mum always makes coconut ice, apricot balls, and yum yums (rum balls) at Christmas. The yum yums are my dad's mother's recipe, he's the only one that really eats them. Also, it's not Christmas here in Australia without fresh mangoes.

Saw some other Dane post about Risalamande and Æbleskiver, which is nice I guess. I don't really like Risalamande, but I like the alternative to it - Risengrød. It's a rice porridge made on rice and milk that you eat with cinnamon sugar and a small lump of butter on top.
I love our traditional Christmas Cookies. Every year, my mom, my brother and I bake Vaniljekranse (Vanilla Wreaths) from scratch. It's a cookie based on vanilla and ground almonds and it's amazing. It has been a tradition in our family for almost 20 years, and we all cherish it.
My mom also makes the best Curry Herring. Yum!
I’m all about the sides and desserts, my favorites are the garlic bread we make and the homemade chocolate chip cookies my aunt makes. They’re so good she always makes us a bag or two a few weeks before and at Christmas gives us another. Love that semi sweet chocolate chip goodness :3 And the shortbread cookies w mini m&ms we make, always love making cute ideas like this year we’ll make lil round owls w
