My favorite holiday food has got to be my moms noodles. she makes egg noodles and they are fat and yummy so so good!!
I know not a lot of people actually like it but i love fruitcake, especially if it's homemade. my paternal grandma made the best fruitcake.
sometimes my whole family (mom's side) would get together from across the east coast and we'd make baklava from my great grandmother's recipe. i have some really fond holiday memories of that.
it's not a holiday season for me if i don't get some pumpkin eggnog! they sell it at kroger and now i'm spoiled to it. regular stuff doesn't compare.
and cookies cookies cookies. do not care what kind in the least, i just want cookies.
in terms of savories, i can't say there's anything i'm particularly attached to - i love the traditional roast turkey and stuff but i also really like branching out. for me i guess it's the sweets that make this time of year special. i guess i've enjoyed making sukiyaki in the winter months, but not really as a holiday thing? just a fun dish to make when it's cold and there's a few people to feed
Oh my, I love it all! I especially love Turkey for Thanksgiving time and sugar cookies with frosting at Christmas time! :D
My husband and I make pumpkin cheesecake for Christmas desert each year, and my family has started off Christmas morning with cinnamon rolls and eggnog all my life. I also love the fudge my grandma makes each year for Christmas.
SHORTBREAD COOKIES!! My fav holiday treat! c: One of the few cookies that doesn't need eggs (allergies) and I love them.
Next best thing is my Mom's Sweet Marie bars, chewy peanut and rice cereal snack topped with chocolate! c: Usually share this recipe with close friends.
This is gonna sound weird, but I love mashed potatoes and gravy!!! Oooh, and cheescake!
I love the seasonal ice creams that come out around this time of the year. Pumpkin, Pumpkin Pie, and Egg Nog.
I think we all have wanted to go back in time and do that.
Chocolate chip cheesecake.
Every year I make 7 batches of cookies and give away baggies to everyone I know. :) Mint Thins, Buckeyes, Snowballs, Bourbon Balls, Chocolate Dreams, and Turtles are the staples, and then this year I did Snickerdoodle Cookie Dough Bites as the new one.
Pretty much all pumpkin baked goods and anything with cinnamon/nutmeg.
I love love love party potatoes! My mom calls it "potato casserole" but a lot of people know it as party potatoes. It's the cubed potatoes with cheese and corn flakes on top. I could eat them for every meal.
Then again, I could probably eat any type of potato for any meal...
Homemade buckeyes

Dinner we have turkey, mash potatoes, cranberries, juicy honey ham with homemade glaze with just a nice crunch of sugary shell...okay mouth watering just talking on it! hehe
My favorite things to cook are fancy stuffings, molasses cookies, and any sort of roasted meat. Especially duck. My favorite things to gorge on are ALL the cookies, gluhwein, and any sort of seasonal edition of food, be it pumpkin spice, apple + whatever, chocolate peppermint... Any and all of it!
Cranberries and pumpkin pie and almond breeze vegan eggnog with nutmeg on top.
Apple pie :D
