The destiny number I got was 3 which is the creative child. It fits in some ways, but not others, I might grown into it more as I gain confidence. The traits that I think fit me are imaginative, tolerant, optimistic, jovial, and youthful. I am not sure about my easily inspiring people or being talented and I hope it is something I might grow into. The communication part seems completely off, I have a problem with verbal communication, but not writen. The worst part is the audience, I certainly don't need an audience, I hate audiences.

For the soul urge number I got a 4 and it seems to fit well. I do like stability and an organized life. Being dependable is important to me and I do like having tasks and work to focus on. I try to be honest and unpretentious and I really do detest liars. Love is very important and, this is where I diverge from the text, I show it. Mostly, it fits. Mostly.

I got an 8 for the personality number and this was the worst fit. I don't appear stong and powerful or radiate confidence. Clothes are not important to me and I don't eat recklessly. Many of these traits seem to contradict the above, such as being ruthless, greedy, and caring so mcuh about clothes (pretention). I do want everyone to be as happy and excited as I am, though.

Some things fit with the numerology and some don't. Like many of the broad personality descritions, it is very open to interpretation and everyone can see themselves in parts, usually the more flattering parts. I think it would be easier for me to believe in a more detailed reading than such a broad one, but this is an entry level class and I am grateful we didn't have to do that. For this, I am skeptical.

My Soul Urge number is 4. This means I like routine, and dislike sudden changes. I do prefer things to be 'in their place' and organised, but sometimes a little change in routine can be fun and exciting.

My personality number is 3. Apparently this means I am strikingly beautiful... yeah I definitely don't agree with that one! I don't consider myself a "fun person to be around" as I would rather be reading a good book, than socialising.

I think I prefer the Arithmancy tasks which actually have more of a logical mathematical reasoning to them, rather than the ones which are more like Divination.

The book reads the following: You are a natural leader, independent and individualistic. You are extremely ambitious, original, and courageous. You employ new and unproven methods. You are an explorer and an innovator. Openness to too many peripheral influences limits and frustrates you. You are self-reliant, confident, and energetic. This describes myself very well. I have a thirst for the unknown and new things and always strive to learn more. It also shows my independent side as I prefer to do things on my own - mostly because I have my own methods of achieving things. I have a clear path for my life and everything is planned out. My way is rough, but I wouldn't prefer an easy way. I pursue my goals, with keeping in mind what I can afford to lose. It also says that I'm highly cricital of others - I'm a perfectionist and tend to expect people to be the same. This disappoints me from time to time because some people don't seem to live up to the same kind of determination I'm driven by. Lastly, I don't feel quite courageous - but then, it's up to myself how to interpret that. Maybe it means that I'm just courageous at certain parts where it counts.

Heart Number: 8

Again, this number speaks for my ambition. One could say that ambitions rests in my character and in my heart. Heart number 8 stands for mentally strong, resistant people. I have a distinct ability for economic thinking and I'm more interested in material things. Wealth and strength attract me strongly. I love to take responsibility and manage things - whenever I'm given (important) tasks, I like to do them with pleasure and success - I show an enormous willingness to work, though I tend to pay too much attention to materialistic things and expect rewards for my work. In order to achieve my goals, I can be very obstinate and selfish and tend to treat others in a tyrannical and unscrupulous manner. I'm well aware of that and try to work on this but I have a low tolerance for stupidity and slow-thinkers. My heart number goes hand in hand with my character number as I want other people to try their best as well. However, despite all my caution, success and failure are close together. The book also says that I may have a tendency to the odd things, which makes it sound as if I would be prone to use, as people would say, dark kinds of magic, which I would like to fully decline here because it makes people with 8 as their heart number appear peculiar or even kind of dangerous. I'm disappointed easily if things don't work out my way and then I become self-destructive and start to hate myself for a certain amount of time. But this goes over sooner or later as well, once I have a new goal.

Social Number: 2

Now this is very different from my destiny and heart number! The book says that I appear friendly and unthreatening and that's why people are drawn to me. However, my clothes are always neat and clean and I'm never under-dressed so I may give people a feeling of safety around me. I may appear cold but there's a lot of personality and passion beneath my surface. The book also says that I'm patient and understanding, and a great listener - which is true, except for being patient. I've been told by my friends that they admire me for listening to them and providing them with support. I even experienced the negative criticism as a child, and the reason for this was my ability to speak Parseltongue. It made people vary of my family and for a long time, I haven't spoken about this to anyone at school, not even my friends - I need time before I can fully be myself. I'm a very peaceful person and I hate arguments and discussions because they make me feel weak and drained. I always want to find a solution suitable for everyone involved - I have a great desire for harmony. There's something from the book I'd like to quote: You have a fine sense of beauty and excellent taste. There is a grace in your movements, reflecting your keen sense of harmony and refinement. And this is, pardon myself, true in every word.

In conclusion, I agree with these numbers mostly. They gave me a chance to understand myself much better.

My destiny number is 7, which refers to the seeker. Seekers are described as spiritual, intelligent, analytical, focused, introspective, studious, intuitive, knowledgeable, contemplative, serious, persevering, refined and gracious. Several of these keywords do resonate with me. I do think I'm a serious, focused and persevering person. It's something you have to be if you wish to succeed in the world of dance and music. As for the rest I feel I possess some of those qualities. Yet I would not necessarily say I am knowledgeable or analytical. According to the reference text people with this destiny number are perfectionists and that we tend to specialize in a specific field. That does sound exactly like me, so I feel like the destiny number matches my personality and what I want to be.

My soul urge number is 5. This signals a desire for freedom and adventure. Basically it's supposed to mean I can easily adapt to whatever is happening around me and like to be involved in many projects with many people. Yet I am very certain I'm not like this at all. Sure I like freedom and doing what I love without holding back. And I like new experiences and finding new hobbies, but I feel this number is very contradictory to my destiny number. Perhaps it's this clash which makes me who I am. My soul urge number matches the part of me that is a metamorphmagus perfectly. That part of me thrives on freedom and adventure and change. And my other half is the serious me who is so focused on music and dance practice, schoolwork and the like. Maybe it's a good thing to have both to balance me out. The hard-working introverted me and the playful extroverted me combine and make me plenty multifaceted.

The personality number describes someone's first impression upon meeting me. For me this number is 2 which supposedly means I appear friendly and approachable. People initially see me as gentle, warm and understanding. Apparently as the wonderful and patient listener that I am I should watch out for people just ranting at me. Sometimes I feel like a peaceful harmonious place is the best place to be. Those with the number 2 find themselves tense up in conflict situations. We're sensitive to the mood and need a positive vibe to be comfortable. The description does sound similar to me. Whenever I tense up I seek a quiet place, I like helping people when they have something on their mind and of course I think I have excellent taste.

So it seems that the different numbers all represent a different part of me. That they do sound similar to what I am and I just feel like it makes sense. Not completely, but it feels close enough. No one is a text book version of these described numbers and neither am I. I feel like this was a fun way of analyzing a person based on their name. It just shows how a name and a person are linked together.

I would say this is partially way off, as I do not consider myself particularly adventurous, and definitely not daring. I'm also not very social, except with small groups of close friends. However, I am freedom-loving, flexible, curious, quick-thinking, and dare I say witty? I am a Ravenclaw, after all! I think that my animagus form, which is a green imperial pigeon, sort of epitomizes freedom-loving, though. What bird soul doesn't want to be free to fly?

This is very accurate! What kind of Ravenclaw would I be if I didn't love knowledge? I am the type of person who studies subjects that I am interested in in-depth. I love to read, study, and learn new things. I am also an introvert, like the book describes. The only part about the book description that isn't particularly accurate says that I am all theoretical, and that I keep my relationships impersonal. I am very imaginative, and quite emotional as well. The book paints soul urge number 7 as cold, analytical, and impersonal. With the right people I will share my hopes, dreams, and my heart's desire. I'm also very imaginative, and sometimes get lost in daydreams.

I would have to say that this is fairly accurate. People have told me that I am hard to read at first, and that I seem a little eccentric. I may come off as serious, but I actually have a pretty great sense of humor. It also may not be apparent at first glance, but I am quite compassionate and empathetic. I think that my quiet nature, and my perfectionism with my studies and projects might come off as aloofness at first. It says that I am often withdrawn and hard to get to know. This is also true. I only show my true personality to people very close to me. I would say that of all the numbers, this one might be the most accurate.

According to what I read a 1 for Destiny means a person is individualistic, independent, and a leader who is focused and full of drive. It describes this person as being ambitious, original, and courageous as well as confident and energetic. I think these things describe me to a certain extent: I can be courageous if needed, such as if my family or friends are in danger; I think I am energetic and though I’m not the best I have found that I can be a leader this term be being a prefect. The book goes on to say that these types of people will stand up for their convictions and hold their ground…in other words, we’re stubborn. That fits me for sure. They easily assume the role of protector; again, this is spot on with me.

A 2 for the Soul number indicates someone who wants peace and harmony in all aspects of life. They want to devote themselves totally to something or someone’ fall in love easily; are extremely sensitive and emotional; and are sentimental. Um…well at this point I’m glad that essays can’t blush because all of those things describe me perfectly. So does the fact that people with a 2 desire comfort and security and like some of the finer things in life. It also says that I need friends and society. At one point I would have argued with that since I was always a loner and still am to a large extent, but I do crave having my friends close too.

Lastly an 8 in the Personality section brings a description that resembles the one for the Destiny. “You appear strong and powerful.” Really? I’m not sure they’ve got that right. “You have natural authority.” Okay, maybe since I am a prefect. Enthusiastic, spontaneous and excited…yep, yep, and yep, that would be me. It’s right that I do want others around me to be excited and happy too. The one thing that was a shock to me was the part that said “It is important for you to dress well.” In all honesty, I don’t really think that much about my clothes, as long as they’re comfortable and some of my favorite colors.

Of all the sections I feel that the least like me is probably the Personality one. While I’m not that keen on Arithmancy in general I have to admit this lesson was kind of fun.

Part of becoming an auror is the freedom to follow the bad guys from place to place, experiencing new things and places and people along the way! I don't like staying in one place for very long. It's why I like alchemy as well...the ability of changing one thing into another into another, nothing ever staying the same for long.

I've not really considered this before but I suppose it's true. I like to be efficient and I'm frustrated when I don't immediately see the use of certain things (yoga!). I do things my own way and I think that's what works best for me. When I force myself to follow procedures things rarely turn out how they should.

Some of the description I definitely feel resonates with me. The last few adjectives (curious, quick-thinking, witty) seem the most accurate, as I think these are the qualities that put me in Ravenclaw. Versatile, flexible, adaptable - in some cases this is true, as I am open to new ideas, but at the same time I do like routines and patterns so these are not always the first words that come to mind to describe myself. Adaptable and adventurous aren't often adjectives that describe me though, and I wouldn't say "freedom-loving" would be at the top either, but who wouldn't want that?

Overall, if this is the type of person I am meant to be, it makes me quite optimistic for the future!

Soul Urge - 4 Reading through this description, it feels quite accurate. Organization, systematic thinking, routines, detail-oriented, logical.. all of things are definitely a strong part of me. It is interesting they come up in the soul urge number, because I do find they describe my inner cravings and true intentions, even though they may not always be what I portray to the world. I will take heed of the warning that I have a tendency to overdo work - I know that a work-life balance will be quite important as I get older!

If this is what I truly am portraying to others, that would be very interesting! As much as I love organization (as per my soul urge!), I often feel very chaotic. Perhaps that doesn't translate into how I appear though, which is encouraging!
