Catch-22 by Joseph Heller I don't think I've seen it mentioned yet (probably because most people I come across despise this novel). I often get hassled because I love this book, but it mirrors my life so well at so many points, I couldn't help but love it, I had more than a couple notebook pages of quotes I'd copied from it because they were JUST. SO. FITTING. I thought it was a decently funny book, too, but no one else ever seemed to find it so humorous as I did. >>;
