(I, for one, feel they probably have the right of it, but that's not to say that demons, should they exist, don't learn from humanity.) In the case of Cosette and Marius, it seems to almost straddle both sides of the coin! "Oh, I love her so much I'm going to die without her!" and all that jazz.
