Ah, 13. Buildings often don't have one because of superstition, but one of the buildings at my school lacked one for a different reason. It was a renovated office building, and our animation department had an Oxberry camera stand. These stands are quite tall- considerably taller than the ceiling height in the building. The architects asked if we could just cut off the top of the camera stand. This was a no as it screwed up its functionality. And so they lowered the 13th floor to be a half floor in order to accommodate the camera stand to be placed on the 14th. This was years and years ago, and I wonder if they even still have the stand available for student use considering how they'd either be doing 3D or just drawing strait into the computer, bypassing the need to film your work.
