Not a bad idea, but I think it's best to make it something you can just click or poke to go to a link, rather than having to open a dropdown first. (I know the dropdowns open on hover if you have a mouse, but if you have a touchscreen or tablet for instance it can be a bit of a hassle to get them to open.)

Iβm just a little confused by the changes to the Trades!
Now when we submit an offer, instead of taking us to the βmy offersβ page it gives us a clickable link.... thatβs goes nowhere....
I mean itβs not a big deal to click βmy offersβ to verify it went through but why a link to no where/just a blank trades page you have to click another link to go anywhere else. It just seems pointless.
So.. I've been scrolling through the thread and seeing what the site looks like for everyone else and uh. I'm noticing that I'm definitely having whitespace issues? I normally have my browser snapped to one side of my screen, and some pages have excessive blank space on the right side or elements that are overlapping.

News, forums, inventory, vaults, shops, and most other pages look the same as they always have (aside from the font changes), but these ones all shifted around after you started making layout changes.
Id prefer the bookmarks across the top, not on the sidebar on the left, there can be too much there already.deleting bookmarks from there would be good instead of going to the dashboard though :0).
So they wont be put back on the right in the future? thats a shame oh well, you know best.
I like option 2 or having a bookmarks widget. Though I use some of those all the time so option 2 works best because they would be in an easily accessible spot.
bookmarks are soooo important to me i click them daily, i use them literally for all. the. things. i'd be lost and wouldn't have patience if they were gone ;A;
i quote the above post because, well same.
above, horizontally, ok for now β€οΈ and hopefully one day back to where they were n_n
I do NOT want a dropdown!! I like my bookmarks visible because they remind me to click! So either along the top is fine or a widget... although I have quite a few widgets already. So up top is best IMO!
i think a bookmark widget wouldn't be terrible, since it's temporary. The top of the page seems like it would make things a bit awkward and kinda ugly, but i'd need to see it in action (or a mockup) to really make a decision on it. A widget seems like the best option imo.
I vote for a widget, it would make sense to have it all on one side. I use mine often but scrolling down is just fine for me to fetch them.

I already wrote a bookmark fix on my own, but if you guys want to go another route, definitely don't put them along the top menu.
Thanks for the list! I just fixed all of those (except for the quests, wasn't really sure what's going on there yet) but it'll be ~15min before changes show up.
That's weird yeah, I've just pushed a fix to change it back to how it was before (redirecting you to your offers page) and ~15min once again.
Sorry I keep saying the 15min thing. I actually have tried to wait for it to go through first, and THEN post about it, but usually what happens then is that I get distracted, and then hours later someone's like "Bug did you do this?" and I'm like "Oh yeah, I was gonna say something about that..."
[edit] Any reason you say that?

Thank you! I was so confused when I clicked the link and it went no where! Thank you for changing this so quickly!
@ Bug I use bookmarks a lot and I like your idea of a bookmarks widget. :)
editing because i read other comments and want to add that the reason I prefer a widget is because it will always be there to look at and click. On my weekends I sometimes can only play using my phone. My old phone, (which is only a couple years old), could not open drop down menus. I'd have to google for a link, memorize the url, or find other ways to navigate. My new phone also won't show a drop down menu, you only get the option to click, unless you have a tablet pen, in which case you can use that like a mouse over to get it to open. So no to anything drop down. I think adding another menu to the top would be too cluttered. So I really like the idea of a widget since that seems the most natural place.
I like the idea of having bookmarks under the menu links. c: My sidebar is full enough as it is and I'd rather have my bookmarks at the top of the page than wherever I'd end up sticking them!
I am having a difficult time imagining how across the top would look but fear it would look really cluttered, which is why I think a widget would be best for bookmarks. As a note, the hover link menus are a pain in the booty and I don't want more added to them -- hopefully the new layout will move away from that from an accessibility standpoint with touchscreens in mind.
The prominent placement vs link importance just doesn't seem right, and it would eat vertical space. That said, I can see it being the more popular choice, though it would make the issue of long bookmark names even worse than it is now.
An upgraded notepad widget for bookmarks would work fine for me.
For the bookmarks I like the idea of a widget, as long as it's temporary because I do quite like the layout of the bookmarks now, being at the right hand side
I'm starting to have a lot of trouble with these changes, as I only use half of my very small computer monitor to play Subeta, because I watch videos while I'm quest and whatnot (The ol' ADHD kills me if I don't multitask)
Some pages (Like quests) are merely inconvenient in this format, others (like vending) are impossible to use as the vending machine image disappears
If nothing can be done about this, or it's too small of a concern, I understand I guess, but if something can be done about it that'd be wonderful.
I can provide screencaps of how this looks for me if needed
Sure, screenshot the most problem pages for me, and also could you let me know your screen resolution and what browser you use?
We are moving towards making it work really nicely on smaller screens, but the transition period will be kind of messy unfortunately.

Not sure if these have been mentioned, but: I like the new account search! Account searching via subetalodge no longer seems to work though, so I'm hoping that gets fixed. I think they use the itemIDs and it was really handy, especially for items like 'orange' to directly get to the thing you're searching for. Also, commenting via the gift centre isn't working right now. Loving your hard work as always! <3
Edit: Account searching via wishlists no longer works either. :o I guess I use account search a lot. XD Second edit: REMOVE ONE IS AN OPTION NOW?!?! Yessssssss thank you thank you. That way we can completely bypass the vault. <3 Interesting that it doesn't work for legacy shops but that's okay.
