But I do like comedy and procedurals and other stuff about it, and science fiction in general, so it turned out I liked it quite a bit

I am really happy that you like them! :D They look better in person, from the pictures you can't always see the metallic/sparkly/iridescent paints and pigments I use, or how sparkly the Swarovski crystals are. I will be sure to post pictures of the new one when it's done. =)

Ours is only 70's and 80 but for us at this time of year very unusual. And our AC is broken. ugh!

We got an email this morning telling us we were approved for the apartment! So we'll be moving in about 2 weeks. ^_^

I think it has enough birds in general but I'd REALLY like to see more of them with crowns, tiaras, and other royal accoutrements. What I think subeta lacks (except in minions, where it has an overabundance) is house cats. There aren't any house cat pets other than the Feli who has bat wings which kind of ruins the house cat - ness of it to me. The Celinox is supposed to be cat like but to me it's more wolf like or, maybe, it could be a lynx. Whereas there's multiple wolf/dog pets (Keeto, Kumos, Montre, Ruffie, Telenine) and a bunch of bird pets (Cybill, Fester, Lain, Mallarchy, Noktoa) and a bunch of deer pets (and the new deer/bird experiment pet!) and so on.
