Sorry if this has already been asked/answered, but I've been baking at a very leisurely pace, typically just whenever I happen to have a stockpile of ingredients saved up from quests, vending etc... and I was wondering if there's a list anywhere of all the different items that are used as ingredients, along with which recipes they're used in? I've done some quick skims through the forums and Subetalodge but didn't see one... and I did see Baker's pet profile linked in the FAQ, but it appears to be dead now.

Mainly I just want to know whether some of the ingredient-y looking items clogging my inventory are actually worth saving or if I can just feed them to someone, haha. (would be even easier if we had some sort of pantry to store all of our ingredients in, but failing that...)

Yes, the list is in the fourth post here List of ingredients.

It lists all the ingredients you can use for the recipes. When you click to create a specific recipe it will list out which ingredients are unique to that recipe only on the right side. (As far as I know there is no list of all the ingredients on the right side of the recipe page utilized to bake every single recipe.)

If it were me I would only save up on the ingredients on the left side of the recipe page because those are stable and don't change with new recipes. The other ingredients are variable. Who knows if we will ever use a protein bar to make some strange cookie bar? I stock up on a lot of random food items because you never know which ones may end up being used in recipes in the future.

Yeah, I've referred to that list often, too... but I was thinking of something more like a chart of all ingredients plus which recipes they're used in. Like, if I manage to get some rare-ish ingredient that I know is used to bake SOMEthing, but don't feel like clicking on every individual recipe to see what uses it and where it'd be most effective... etc. I didn't figure anyone had gone to all that effort yet, but you never know, lol.

Definitely agree about the recipe-specific ingredients, though. I keep coming across stuff that might possibly be useful, or might be in the future if it's not yet (all the different spices, syrups, sanding sugars, extracts, food colorings...) and I end up saving them all "just in case," but after a while they start to take up too much space XD

The pet profiles underwent a drastic change and Bake's profile will probably stay broken until the owner is able to fix it. ^.^

I know of no such list. I think I will work on making one though, or at least charting the more rare items. I can tell you a lot of the more rare items though - there are really only a handful. Although price of items varied widely over any given time period. For example, cocoa powder used to be unbuyable and or around 500k-800k but now it is super cheap.

What is your price range for rare or expensive items?

lol okay, so I'm a complete masochist and I went ahead and made a super basic spreadsheet of all ingredients + their recipes. I might tweak it later to make it a little easier to read (gdi Baking Powder D: ) and maybe color code stuff based on level, rarity, etc... but for now, it's something. Feel free to share it if you think it might be of use to folks :>

Oh, and my price range... I'm a pretty casual baker, so I don't like to spend more than about 10k on any ingredient >>. Generally I only bake using items I've vended, restocked, won from quests, etc... though if I'm only one or two cheap ingredients short of being able to make something I'll go ahead and buy what's missing. I have a few rares saved up, like Seasonal Bottle of Pumpkin Spice Syrup, Conference Pear, and Cherry, but I'll probably never even be able to use them since I'm still only at level 7 haha orz

Oh nice!! I'm hopeful it'll be useful! Now you probably have a really good feeling for what the items are too so when you vend and receive one you'll know to save it! ^.^

I was really hoping for new Vesnali recipes, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen.

I agree but I heard they are thinking of way(s) to play around with it and add it into things. I forgot where it was said, but I believe Amber said it was not forgotten.

Yes, well I am sure there are priorities. And there are achievements with the baked goods just none specifically for Fantine. I think they are trying to figure out a way to integrate it without making all the baking items so overpriced that nobody can bake ever.

That tea house would be so cool too!

Eh, if memory serves, there's only 1 achievement that uses any of the baked items, and that only uses 3 of them! There's another 55 items that could be brought into the mix! (In addition to generally reaching certain levels, and being able to bake everything. Or burning X items, or baking Y items.) So absolutely- there are priorities, but achievements are probably one of the easier things to integrate if they don't want to actively change anything at the moment.

Working it into the tea house could be really fun, though the theming doesn't really work at the moment (Veta baking vs Shengui Guo tea.)

I see the price explosion to be inevitable, but likely manageable. I remember throwing some ideas out a while ago to increase the ingredient availability on site - like having quest givers give things out, and more baking supply kits added to the mix. But when I look at things like the Mystery Box on Bake Stop day- it's really pretty manageable to get baking stuff.

In the FAQ section, it lists the only related achievement: Q: Is there an achievement for baking? A: Currently there is no baking achievement in place, though there may be one in the future. There is a slightly baking related achievement which includes three baked cake items that you must feed to your pet along with a handful of other cake items, it is titled: "Take the Cake." The three cakes items are: Maid of Honor Cakes, Lemon Rosemary Cake, and Fancy Masquerade Wedding Cake.
