As soon as his father, Pietro Wingslade, discovered his wife was a witch he didn't question the thought of running away with her not even once, especially when they found out she was pregnant of little Zak.
They had a much simpler life after running away. New city, no great jobs, no friends or family and a son to raise. But they managed it, love and magic can overcome anything. Katherina continued to use her herbology powers to grow magical plants and super-mutated vegetables that she would sell to the city's restaurants, while Pietro found a job at a local hospital to help in biological research.
The most exciting moment of their lives was when Zak received the Hogwarts letter, he always wanted to be a wizard like his mom (however he truly believed his father was a wizard too, doing all that biological magic!) and now he'd do his best to make his parents, his friends and himself proud.

Aria’s father and three brothers died during the clan wars when she was a young child (they were great wizards but this was kept a secret from her). Her mother took her to the city where a wealthy man employed her mother to be a house servant. Soon after Aria's 7th birthday the master began using her as entertainment for his guests. The only good thing from this was that the master allowed her to learn to learn to ride horses and take archery and defense lessons alongside the master’s youngest son. Aria knew she had command of things not of the material world when she was very young, but was naive to the reality of magic. She ran from her master's mansion, at the age of 10, after her mother was killed by one of the mercenaries the master would often house and entertain.
Aria puts on the face of bravery but inside she is afraid of many things. She is a very observant and self-reflecting girl with very little in the way of life’s comforts. She has very few friends to whom she is loyal. She has learned that nobody has the right to be trusted; trust (like loyalty) must be earned.
Aria shares a close telepathic bond with her life-companion, Dax, who is a white-tan snowy owl griffin. She allows people think that Dax is just a loyal companion. The other animals with which she can most openly communicate with are magical beasts. The outcast creatures touch her heart the most deeply and she always helps them.
Aria had been living in the streets for years before entering Hogwarts and continued to do so between the terms while in attendance of the school. After a year of learning at Hogwarts, Aria was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Lee and is now lucky enough to have a new brother: Magnus.

Bio: Born to an American, research scientist, non-magical mother, and a British wizard father. Nicola has two older siblings Douglas, 21, who went to Ilvermorny and Briana, 17, who also goes to Hogwarts but is a Ravenclaw and they don't really talk much at school. She didn't think she had any magic until she got the letter for Hogwarts, even though her siblings were, and thought she would become a non-magical scientist like mom or a teacher.

Bio: Magdalena was born in Spain to her father, Charles, and mother, Valeria. Charles travels often on business and it was on one of his extended trips in Spain that he met and married Valeria. The little family stayed in Spain with Valeria’s parents, Charles doing his best to keep his business ventures local. When Magdalena turned three it was decided that the family would move to the Hidalgo family home outside the small hamlet of Blackdog, north of Aberdeen, in Scotland. The little girl found the entire adventure thrilling, particularly her first introduction to snow. The family settled into the small wizarding community. Most of her father’s travels were brief a week here or there. When a wonderful opportunity came for an extended trip to Japan, Magdalena, then 9, and her family moved to the faraway, mysterious country. The family returned to Scotland just before her 13th birthday and she enrolled at Hogwarts for her third year.
