I'm from South Dakota, and we're planning on heading down to Lincoln NE to get into the path of totality. Super excited!
Just past totality a few minutes ago here. Very glad I took time off work to come see the eclipse.

Currently in Dubai, was not able to get a flight back to the US - so I just watched it live on NASA from both Charlotte SC, and some random point in the midwest (forgot where exactly)
Technology is amazing where you can see things live and amazingly the video stream/wifi didn't crash!
Saw it. It was pretty cool. Little disappointed we didn't get some sot of item today though.
Where I live, we had about 92% coverage. One of my coworkers brought in glasses, so we passed them around between us. We watched most of it from our skyscraper office building, but went outside for the peak. It was way cooler than I expected, to be honest - my favorite part wasthe crazy crescent-shaped shadows cast by the trees out front.
I ended up going to Madras, Oregon and I found a great campsite with a perfect view off the beaten path that still had plenty of room after trying several places closer to the highway that were full...yeah I should have planned better but it worked out fine lol. (Thanks R+D Ranch!) It was amazing! I'm already hoping I can get to the next total eclipse in 2024 even though I'll have to travel farther for it. It's definitely worth it!
They weren't lying about the traffic predictions. It took me more than 12 hours to drive a distance that should have taken about 5. Also, cell service was indeed unavailable most of the time, and I had to wait in a crazy long line for gas. Again, though: WORTH IT!
Unfortunately, I don't have good photography equipment so I won't bother posting the lousy pics I got with my phone. Got a great view with my eclipse binoculars though. My favorite thing was seeing the bright red prominences during totality. That, and the way it suddenly cooled down so much...a welcome relief in the desert! Oh, and the crescent-shaped shadows too...we had a lot of fun playing with pinhole projectors and making shadows while we waited for the main event. It was overall a very surreal and fascinating experience, and I had a surprisingly good time hanging out with a bunch of strangers in the desert for someone like myself who doesn't often particularly enjoy the company of others. :P
We ended up about ten miles inland from the Oregon coast in, of all things, a casino parking lot. Wicked cool experience though. Plenty of noise when the sun started coming out from behind, and watching the birds freak out was wiggy. Worth it even though I think I probably have the flu now (I feel like ten miles of bad road, hence the grumpy avvie)
