I think the new-old one came today, but can't set it up until late tonight or tomorrow because I am over at my sisters until really late. Also, I did have a surge protector ! But sadly, still messed it up.

Ah, good luck. Setting up a new one always takes so long. I use AVG free version personally and it's worked pretty well. I also keep rKill on a thumbdrive just in case and use that if there is any weird issue.

rKill is something I've never heard of !

It's basically a worm find and kill program. It's great. It's saved me before when someone got my computer infected.
